I was also getting the unhandled exception errors, but I did manage to get it installed/working.

On the step that asks for the EDO location, after setting, click on the button in the next step to start the migration process before clicking next. It may crash once afterwards, but it will finally load.

If you have a ton of files on your desktop and/or saved to a different hard drive than where you set the EDO, it may show as if the program isnt responding but it is working in the background. Just let it do its thing for a while (dont force kill the program).

I'm agree with Kev, and I strongly recommend you to use this software.
Also, It's ridiculous that some people came and put the links to other company's products. It's obvious that each company will have their customers, but your comments may cause some users to lose this offer, which is now completely free. This kind of advertisements is out dated and cheep.
Plus, I saw that their are always present during the offer and they request the users to contact them on any issue that they may have.
At the end the users will find out which one is better.

The way that you care about your users and their feedback is amazing. I hope other developers try to be the same. This is why I'm always suggesting your products to the other users and all my friends. It's one of the reasons that I've become a fan of your products.

Jesus Christ guys...! Is it so hard for you to see what's going on here? This company is using bots and trolls...! Just take a look at the comments with the negative votes. they are all valid and make sense...! In turn, look now at the ones with the positive marks, they are plain nonsense statements and/or belong to the company's rep, one other thing, the ones voted down were treated merciless with an average amount of 40 neg, weird right?
I am willing to bet that these trolls will do the same with my comments with excessively high amounts, watch and see.

How is this one different to the one recently offered?

I installed the software, but I got to the step with the wizard: "Auto Categorize Settings" and that's it.
I can't go on because I don't know what's next
Which window to choose for each category???
I tried to click the little arrow next to the "Categorize in" box, but nothing opened, there's nothing to choose from.

Not worth the hassle, just create a folder on your desktop for example i have 2 folder's on my desktop named Utils and the other called Games. All my shortcuts are in these folders for software i use. Used this method for years! No need for software to do the same thing..

Unlike some of the comments, I installed and enjoyed the software. I strongly suggest you to download and install this software, ***don't miss it*** :)
To those who still didn't download this software, I installed both of them and used them (MSTech Easy Desktop Organizer and Fences). There are some advantages that "MSTech Easy Desktop Organizer" has in compare with "Fances" which makes it more efficient and useful.

1- In "MSTech Easy Desktop Organizer", it's not necessary to have your files and folders on your desktop, with a simple drag and drop over your desired window, you can add a shortcut to any file or folder on your computer, but in Fences all the items should be on the desktop.
2- You can hide any window or show it whenever you need, without losing your settings or shortcut list, but the "Fences" when you remove a window, it returns all the items right back on your desktop
3- You can categorize all your data wherever you want on your computer, MSTech Easy Desktop Organizer allows you to select any path, even a folder on your desktop.
4- The Pro version has a wallpaper designer which is a very attractive feature
5- In the Easy Desktop Organizer Pro, you can have a list of folders on your Right-Click menu on each window, to quickly transfer the files or folders, which is a nice touch, because makes it a more than a desktop organizer, you can manage your data easier and faster
6- Also they have predefined color sets which are matched nicely together
7- You can arrange the windows in any order you want on your desktop, in different groups and locations, which is not available in Fences

And based on the speed of their development speed and history, I'm waiting for their new updates

This program is not smart enough to get installed. It asks for some form of MS app and gets you to the download of the app.... It will NOT install itself w/o that app, but windows says you already have a newer version of that MS app installed. Now what ? please delete my eMail from your files so I will not be spammed with an app that I could not install. Thanks

Do I need to uninstall the earlier version (Verision 1.9.9.0) ... that has been given me a warning that I need to pay for the full version since soon after installing it ... prior to installing this version, or will it simply 'update' the existing one?

Even had it worked I could not understand how the software worked so uninstalling. Not worth it even as a Giveaway.

No activation e-mail has been sent (nothing in my spam folder either) after activating it an hour ago, a complete waste of time.

I have installed, activated 3 times, and then completely uninstalled this program. Surely I am not the only idiot having problems .....????? After installing and activating, this program is definitely not intuitive. I have worked with Windows computers for more than 20 years and I have NEVER had problems figuring out what to do for a successful configuration. Everything I try with EDO ends up in a pop-up windows saying something about an exception. I will standby till later today to see if I am offered any real help. The installed "Help" files simply do not EXPLAIN the precise steps to follow!! The EDO "Wizard" lost its power to do much or anything except to create my total confusion.

Wow, extremly unstable software.

Registering worked, but thne i get a lot of "exception" boxes, meaning crashes.

I'm still trying to get this software to work somehow.

The only icon on my desktop is the Recycle Bin

all installed OK and running well

i use stardock fences so i wanted to give this one a good try out and it failed at the 1st point

it is almost impossible to set up i have been using a PC for close to 30 years and thought i had seen it all until this came along i could not even set up the folders to use it has a list and askes you to set them up but does not show you how

i hope you all have better luck than i did
