After installing, every time I run this software, why does this it request elevation, i.e. why does it display a User Account Control dialog asking, "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?"

Do you mean "an offline request" to register the software? I've already registered the software, but I'd like to know why the software itself (not the registration process) requires elevation to run, i.e. why does it display a User Account Control dialog every time I run it, asking, "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?" Why does it require that?

Dear Pete,
Since the software reads and writes to its own directory on "Program Files", and windows does not allow any program to write on Program Files or any of its sub directories when they run as normal user, we set the software to run as elevated user to prevent any future errors caused by windows.

Such a nice app. I have tested a few apps like this, but none of them are as user-friendly and easy to use as this one, in any aspect. Also, it's nice to see how much you need based on your recorded transactions for the next few days.

I am no party to the discussion about the software as checks are considered as useful as bows and arrows in my part of world but a brief check of the vendor website shows only a generic blah-blah in the About Us section and the Contact link offers an anonymous contact form only. No address, no telephone, no name, no company ID. A red flag for me.

What does MS Tech stand for? Was it Modern Society Tech or something. From your list of discounted products it all comes down to the bank account. Avast Security reported "FileRepMalware" in the Setup.exe and moved to the virus chest. Another comment showed McAfee doing the same.
I really don't feel like spending hours removing manually if this is a problem. So while I was originally going to use, at this point it is a no.
If the publisher would like to expand or explain two separate virus threat programs reporting the installer, I would like to know because the program sounds good.

first of all I don't understand your comment.
did you install the software ? how you can tell it is not a safe product to use?
to answer your question, this is an offline application which means all our data will be stored on your computer.
And yes, I'm comfortable to enter my bank details into this product, since I was using the basic version with no issues.
I advise you to first install and try the software rather than writing such a pointless comment right away.

Kev., Nobody will ever admit that there is a back door access to most software over the Internet. I have dissected most of the communication parts of lot of software and have found they all contain back door access via hidden internal port that can be activated remotely or it will activate itself at certain moment and time to send or receive info. Otherwise, how they can see who has valid keys or not, when the registration expires, update, upgrades, disabling the installed applications and so on. Be your own judge.
