After reviewing this product I found that it saves A TON OF EXTRA HOURS. It helped me in my projects saving me at least 3 hours of tedious work. I was also checking the developers website and I found other very usefull products. I recomend this product.

I've been trying all day to register this, have tried EVERY variation mentioned in the above comments, and always get the message "Dear customer, If you see this message is because we have not received your invoice yet....But don't worry it will arrive about the next hours...." Pardon me for "worrying," but I think we're almost at the end of the registration window, and it's just not working for several of us... Do their paying customers also have this much trouble?

The problem “Compile error in hidden module: Modulo_checkup_mensal” when I open Excel and try to run it never went away either. Can't compile, can't register - what's with this give-away?

Tried registering this morning and it gave me an error message of not having an invoice on file with their company. Sorry for the inconvience, but, until your invoice is in our system we can't register your purchase.

WTF?? I thought we had a couple of more days to register this program!

GOTD, where are the two extra days to register? (a) Running setup.exe brings an error message (offer has expired). (b) Trying to register with my email (with or w/o brackets) and the serial given, with the installation I ran yesterday, gives another error message ('If you are seeing this we have not received your invoice yet').

Should I just uninstall it now, and give up?

So... this morning it finally registered for me (7am pacific). I had browsers, email, and about 10 other things loaded. I didn't use the brackets, and I didn't use a space in front of the reg code. Seems like they may have finally fixed it - or I got lucky.

So - still doesn't work. Have tried absolutely everything listed here.

- run as admin
- XP compatability
- leading space
- brackets on email
- fake emails
etc.

Never had any issue install anything before.
Time to give up....

I uninstalled this product, after a long struggle to find out why my ctrl+C/ctrl+v keys do not work anymore. I uninstaled "MAE", and all work fine now on my laptop.

This is the link that give me the clue:

Register using the Start menu program group:
Start -> Programs -> JABSOFT -> Model Analyzer for Excel -> Register Model Analyzer for Excel

Then input the code (263977855), and enter your email address.

For anyone trying to reister this on VISTA, RIGHT-CLICK on the “REGISTER” tool from the START menu and select “RUN AS ADMININSTRATOR”.

I have a different problem. The first time I open Excel 2007 after installing, the package shows up in the "Addons" menu (I guess that's what it's called; I use a French version). However, when I close Excel and restart it, the module isn't visible any more. Any ideas?

Registered on Vista Home with a little trouble. I received a security message asking me to register by going to:

Start/Programs/Jabsoft/Register
Then fill out the following fields:
1) E-mail address
2) Purchase Order number

I did that, then I received the please check Internet connection message. I went back to start/programs/jabsoft/
instead of double clicking on register, I clicked on the right mouse button for the pop-up menu and clicked on "properties," chose compatibility (checked off run under Windows XP - but I probably didn't need to). After that I clicked on the pop-up again and chose run as administrator. I re-entered my e-mail address, and the order number and all worked well.

Hope this helps.

That's the solution to the registration problem!!!! You have to include the leading space before the numbers on the order number!! And I did use my yahoo address for good measure, but it wasn't working before this extra space was added.

Registration is cumbersome. With a real mail address nothing happened on my XP and it took quite a while on Vista machines. But when I used a non-existing mail address (info@verweggistan.waar) on the XP, registration was accomplished within seconds.

I give up, tried everything suggested here and still can't get it to register, and I really wanted to test this. I am beginning to wonder if Jabsoft cut off registration after a certain number of users, or their site just has major problems. Either way, not worth my aggravation and therefore not worth testing their trial version, so I give a big thumbs down.

as already pointed out by many: don't try to change folder install, do it by drag and drop AFTER install & successful reg.; when it opens up after the install is complete into Excel with a questionable comment by them to go to TOOLS>MODEL ANALYZER FOR EXCEL>...go there at the upper bar where you are in Excel, use the BROWSER function to locate folder Program Files\Jabsoft\Model Analyzer for Excel (which is the only place it could be because they only allowed you to put it there); then, click on it to launch it into Excel; then, go to the bar above in Excel where you should already be by program default and do the TOOLS thing again and it should appear to your satisfaction and their's in the Excel TOOLS>Add-ins>... there; and let's see, I forgot...but, I think a REGISTER PRODUCT tag is there to click on; this takes you to a form you can also Access (no pun intended, well, maybe) via START>PROGRAMS>MODEL ANALYZER FOR EXCEL; click and the same form appears: do the e-mail inside of the Brackets [you@yabba-dabba-do]; paste on the product number (I hope you already coopied it from the opened zip file); register it and it will thank you, I think...people are so polite today...embarasses me for bad spelling...hope helps, too long but I sure could have used instead of slow intuition. eli.

I've had registration problems in the past as many of you have indicated today. I found a solution when I have this problem...

When I have been told to check my internet connection, it has always been because I wasn't using the browser that was my default browser.

Firefox is my default browser when a program needs to connect. If I am using another browser, I get the message "check internet connection" every time. When I switch to Firefox, it works every time. I don't need today's offer, so I can't check it to see if it will work for me...sorry.

Thanks GOTD team for the excellent work and free programs. This program installed flawlessly on Vista Ultimate 32-bit. As others, I had the same internet connection problem message when trying to register while using both the menu in excel as well as through the start menu. However, I closed Excel, and successfully registered it using Start/Programms/Jabsoft/Register. Hope this helps.

#23: As someone who has developed complex macro programs for both OO and Excel (principally the latter), it's near-impossible to write remotely sophistiated macros which work on both systems: each must be crafted around its own macro language functions. Hence, if an add-on explicitly states it is for Excel, then it is practically guaranteed not to work with OO. That's just how it is! As others have said, it is more likely to work with Excel 97 (50-50 shot).

#33: May I politely suggest that you create a System Restore point before installing anything 'controversial' such as an Excel add-in? I make a big point of doing this myself, and it's saved my bacon more than once.

#82: Excellent, calm and well-written review. Kudos to you!

Problem:
On Vista with Microsoft Excel 2007: installed and registered OK. However, when running it, it gives this message:

---------------------------
Microsoft Excel
---------------------------
The 15 day trial period has expired.Due to the security restriction of Windows Vista, we ask you to register this product using the following route:Start menu / Programs/ Jabsoft / Model Analyzer for Excel / Register Model Analyzer for Excel

I registered it again - got message successfully registered. But still get the above message.

I would like to use this tool - is there a solution for the above problem?

#84, if you were running Vista, like I am, you would not be able to register from the ADD-ONS tab. I am having the same problem everyone else is: when registering the program says there's a problem with my internet connection when there's none.

I have tried all the above methods for registering, as this looks like a cool tool for Excel with the analyses I am often asked to do.
It will not register, although it installed fine. No matter what trick i try, it give the 'internet connection' message others are also stating. my connection is fine - and it seems they've extended the registration period - but I don't want to keep retrying it over 2 full days without any clear instruction. GAOTD staff - can you help by posting:
1. Why this issue is occurring for so many?
2. When the issue is actually resolved.
3. How to list the email address - brackets or none. Also mention if there are any restrictions on types of email addresses used.
4. How to list the order number as given in the text file, any spaces, dashes, etc. required?

Thanks.

For those of you who are inclined to vote down without checking the developer’s website or who scratch their heads and want to ask us what it’s for: this is basically a spreadsheat/graphing add-on for specialists. It adds various models to excel (and maybe it’s clones) which assist in doing detailed investment and other financial calculations. Seems appropos in the current economy. After all, not all investors are Wall Street fat cats. The average investor needs a little love, too. So, if this won’t help you, please don’t whine, just come back tomorrow.

I reject this one because the installation process will only install it in the C drive. But it's important for me to put it in a different drive, in my case the E drive. It's a no-go for me.

I keep getting the check internet connection. I then tried something I have used before when programs have trouble even though I have an internet connection. I opened a browzer window to www.modeladvisor.com home page and just before hitting register I hit f5 to refresh the web page. Did this both on a vista home premium 64 bit system and a Windows XP sp3 system and Registration worked. Hope this helps someone else out there because this looks like an interesting product.

I am running MS OfficeSuite 2007, and this works GREAT with it. I also had problems registering it, but if you go to the ADD-ONS tab in your Excel, after installation, and register it from there, you'll be able to register no problem. For some reason, the problem exists when you access the registration feature from the START/ALL PROGRAMS/JABSOFT side.

Nice program, fairly sophisticated, and very functional. Great deal, GOTD... Thanks!
