Installed and registered just fine. When I try to use the software on a 2TB external hard drive that i want to recover, I get a divide by zero error when it tries to scan my system. If I remove the HD, it scans just fine. This leads me to believe that something on the HD is causing the error. Makes sense, right? To my way of thinking, the software has a programming flaw if it errors out with a DBZ, such as insufficent validation of variables prior to a mathmatical operation. Or maybe an "IF-THEN" without an "ELSE". The GOTD message very plainly states there is no included tech support. Thinking any programmer worth their salt would want to plug errors in their code, I sent an email to their tech support asking if they would help me anyway. So far no response but it's only been a couple days. I still have hope but I'm not going to consider buying an upgrade if they don't respond and since we only had 24 hours to install... I know "You get what you pay for." but I was hoping for more from these guys.

I had this installed direct from the website, but it was the one that could only recover 1Gb of data. I just used the key supplied to activate the version I already have installed, converted it into the personal edition.. No need to re-install the program for me. Thank you GiveawayOfTheDay.

Just installed the software. It works like a charm. So I've installed the past 3 recovery softwares that appeard on GOTD. At the moment, I am making comparison between each to determine the best. So far, they all work wonders.

Used this today to recover files after a 'stupid format' incident.Got almost all files restored.So for me it worked great.

While on vacation, a portable card reader turned a couple of hours of my irreplaceable pictures into 8 folders and files with strange characters that are not even on a normal keyboard. They looked like this @duú-÷- and this ¦-kSG+.

I installed this on a windows 7 64bit system as administrator without any problems.

This program found all the pictures. It took about a half hour to scan the 32gb SD card. It found over 22gb of deleted and previously unreadable pictures and videos. As I posted in another review of this type of software, There were more than 1 of each picture shown in sizes different than the original. But instead of 4 of each one there were only 2, 1440x1080 and 4608x3456. Also, it puts them in folders of 300 each, so you must look through each folder until you find the pictures you are looking for. In my case that was 19 folders. Then you select the folders or files you want recovered, and hit save. I chose 2 folders to save. In 4 minutes my pictures were recovered. This program worked very fast and well in my opinion.

Regarding this giveaway, 2 key questions need to be addressed:
1. What is this "Power Data Recovery" edition? It is not listed on their website anywhere nor is there any refernce to what it can and can't do. The description given here is for their non-"Power",Free edition; Is what given here any different? Does it still have the super-small (in my eyes) recovered-data limitation of 1GB?


2. "It bundles several tools that together can recover lost and deleted data from hard drives, USB drives, and nearly every kind of disk or directory that can hold (and lose) data." - Are you being intentionally vague, or just don't want to list what file systems (or platforms) this product supports (or otherwise)? Does this include Mobile Storage and\or different Memory cards? Only iOS storages? Only Android one? PC, or Windows only? etc.

As it currently stands, it's very hard to determine what this product does (well promises to do), let alone if l even need it.
I can't even determine whether it's a fake giveaway of an already-free product or not.
This makes me incapable (and more than unwilling) to test it out and see how well it does what it promised.

If I download and register from our old XP computer. Will I be able to move it over to the laptop Win 7 and use it there too? (Not all our computers are connected to the internet)

Can I register this for my mac if i use the mac version from the website please
