I was hoping it could record an online audio stream at a pre-programmed date and time. Doesn't seem to have that feature.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. This Music Recorder enables you to record online audio stream at a pre-programmed time. You need to: open the inverted triangle icon on the top-right corner and then nevigate to the "Settings" panel, or directly click the second button from the left, which shows you "Recording task scheduler", at the bottom left corner. Then, open the "Scheduler" tab. Here you could set the Start Time and Recording Duration for pre-programmed time recording. The defect is that this Music Recorder does not provide recording upon a pre-programmed date. It only enables people to preset the recording time within a day. We might fix this in the future versions.

I'm doing something wrong. How do you submit the registration code to get the free GiveAway license activation? What I have is a place to put the registration code then the choices "renew" or "buy". I see no way to get this without paying. What am I missing? Thanks.

Once the registration code has been entered into the "Registration Code" box, click the triangle icon next to the box to activate it. That's all.

Will it record mic and audio at the same time like if I was doing a karaoke program?

It could record audio from mic and your computer. You need to set the audio source from either mic or computer audio before you start recording. The audio source setting is located at the first button at the bottom left corner of the main interface.

The program works as advertised but audacity will not recognize any music it saves in MP3 even after updating the ffmeg file to the newest version. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Nice and easy using program with good output quality. But when it is needs to use it - all time license is finished at that moment. So, I always use in such case All Sound Recorder Vista, which was presented for time-life and which includes other program All Sound Recorder Vista Editor for time life too.

Music Recorder has both 1-year license and lifetime license. Activating a 1-year license on a lifetime-licensed Music Recorder, and vice versa, won't affect the use. It's a decent music recorder with a slightly weird skin. It has worked ok ever since they fixed the bug in the first version that caused the recording to hitch every few seconds. The music recognition function needs regular updating as the functional sources change. This version wouldn't record computer audio at first, had to switch sources back and forth several times before it finally started working.

senzai6293, thanks for the info. The previous 2.1 version I have installed has a lifetime license. 3.0.04 is for 1 year. All I've ever used this program for is to record my PC's audio. I don't see any other modules in 2.1, so perhaps they are new additions? Based on your info, if I upgrade to 3.0.0.4 and lose my 2.1 lifetime license, the ability to record the PC's audio should remain unlimited after 1 year.

Jeff, yes, that is also my impression, in regard to licensing that was the only info i found. I'd assume after 1 year the license will still work but no support and updates are granted. In any case, you can revert back to the old version if you saved the license data stored locally on your PC.
jojothehobo, they sell licenses that are also at the same time purchases, how else would it work? :D
They offer $19.99/Year and $29.99/Lifetime, so there is a pick to make.

If you have a lifetime license, activating one more 1-year license won't affect your use. You still have lifetime use of this program.
