I´m kind of sad, because it seems that Giveaways are not really free forever. The other one results that it´s also just a one year trial away software. I only install software which will work - even without updates - forever. If I want a trial to test it, I will download it at the moment I need it. Have a great day to all who read me.

Does This Have Free Upgrades And/Or Free Technical Support For One Year, As Well As The License?

Even though I indicated that I wanted the subtitles, the resulting MP4 did not contain them.
The video I tried this on contains a group of main videos, but also a cluster of smaller videos. Leawo DVD Ripper did not "see" the smaller videos, so therefore, I could not extract them.
Uninstalled.

Does this mean I have to install the whole suite even if I only wish to use the ripper?

Yes. Leawo, DVDFab, and a few others use this strategy. Many of the individual modules, if I can call them that, don't take up all that much disk space, while the main portion of the supporting software only has to be installed once, rather than duplicated every time you add a related app. The downside is that it makes the installed app larger & more complex if all you are ever going to want is one individual module, like today's ripper.

I installed this without problems reading and following the readme file.
I had an early Leawo program that didn't survive a computer crash so I was curious to see how things had advanced over the years. The look and feel is much better than my memory recollects. I was a bit disappointed to see the list of additional features that are available for pay. Then again, this is billed as a single function DVD ripper and it does that just fine. But no better and no faster than my paid DVD ripper(s).
If you don't have any other current DVD ripper software this is a good choice. It's a good introduction to the various Leawo paid video programs. I use WinX which is often available as a giveaway of the day. And cheaper to purchase.
