Nice offer and easy-to-use. But I prefer WinX DVD Ripper Platinum 7.0.0 that I got it last year. It rips DVD with much faster speed.

I downloaded it successfully and in time. But when I tried to run it, I get the following error. I repeated the process and I still get the error.
"Program failed to initialize the components. Please try to restart or reinstall the program".
What the heck?

Giovanni is correct about the WONDERFOX DVD VIDEO CONVERTER offer: IT is for a "FREE" Lifetime license, just not free upgrades or free tech support. BUT it stays A FULLY functioning version at the current version number. If you want the "Free" lifetime UPGRADES and tech support then they are running a special of $9.99. See the info block to the right of the 'free giveaway block on the link Giovanni gives.
Hope this clears up what seems to be some misunderstanding of Giovanni's comments.

I uninstall it!
The GUI is very bad and the SW have licence only for 1 year.

Compared with Leawo, I'm happier with Winx DVD ripper platinum edition which has been on my pc for 2 years. My personal experience is, winx's supports more output formats and device profiles, and faster to rip a DVD. Though it doesn't support blurays (like DVDFab does), winx's is outstanding with DVDs, including protected DVDs of course.

I've tried previous versions of this before and really didn't like it. The GUI wasn't very user friendly and it wasn't very easy to change the parameters of the rip (size, frame rate, etc). Thanks anyway, but I think I will stick with DVDFab.

Giovanni......
I have Wonderfox's 'Video Converter Factory Pro 7.0' from a link you had shared a while back.
Is this version kosher or would the link you're providing today be a better more up to date version to have?
Thanks for your help my friend. :-)

Not only don't I have time to fool around with programs that don't load properly on the first go around, I am not tech savvy to play around on my computer. This program threw these two errors so.... DELETE PROGRAM. I know how to do that.

When it activates it ONLY activates for 1 year, also when you try and take advantage of the $15 Blu-Ray ripper it tried charging over $40

Nice product. Converter is one of the fastest ones I have ever seen. Also doesn't use much of my resources (3 to 5% CPU). Well behaved program.
Haven't tried to rip anything yet but the if the converter is any indication of the rest of the programs this is a keeper!!

A big plus - the default rip setting for Mp4 was great for my purposes (rip my dvd's to hard drive so the kids don't scratch them, watch them with plex of xbmc on a 65" tv.)
I did this without installing the codec pack. I am happy with the size and quality of the dvdrip 1:33 - about 1.2gb - but the rip took forever, i didn't see support for AMD video compression acceleration and i have a 7970 with an I7 4770. A second question/comment is that usually with these programs is getting the proper settings for a good quality rip with a reasonable size. What i use as a model is the "Scene Rules" - When you download a ripped dvd you get a great rip in 700mb to 1.4gb. If anyone can give advice on the best settings i would appreciate it. Once i resolve the speed of rip i really like this program and i have downloaded about a dozen from giveawayoftheday.com

Very similar to comment 11:
Is this really a rip-off?
It installs Leawo Blu-Ray Video Converter v7.0.2.1. That’s confusing as today’s giveaway is named DVD Ripper 7.0.2.1 in the title.
After filling the request form for a Registation Key I get no email reply.
I end up with this: “You have 3 function module(s) inactivated. Check it now.”
Clicking the ‘Check it now’ reveals:
Free Video Converter, and additionally 31-day license for Blu-Ray Copy + 31-day license for Blu-Ray Ripper + Trial for DVD copy and DVD Ripper.
I left KL-Codec package installation checked but probably had it from a previous install. Whish I would have read the other comments about it.
Bad thing about it is that I already had Blu-Ray copy and Blu-Ray Ripper installed which were previous giveaways and not trials!

I have had problems with the software here, wanting an email address. Some wouldn't accept a hotmail address. Maybe because hotmail has a good spam filter. Some have offered an "opt out" offer, yet kept spamming me. Sometimes spam increases from other "venders". Gee, I wonder how those other "venders" got my hotmail address?

@Giovanni: Thanks a bunch man! WonderFox looks amazing. Great reviews on softpedia.
P.S: I messed up the first comment! Its supposed to read Leawo dvd ripper, not EaseUs. Sorry! Got confused with yesterday's giveaway :D

Strangely I tried registering but they wouldn't send me a key!! From DVD ripper to bluray ripper and they don't provide me a key. I waited for an hour, refreshing the mail page regularly. Think they wont be providing me one! Ah chuck it! I use handbrake and format factory. For bluray I use Alcohol 120%. Thankfully I got it in another giveaway. But EaseUs is actually a very capable software company. Would have been nice but not gonna cry a river over it!
Well I'm plain disappointed by the giveaway's lately. But I know I'll be back tomorrow, for tomorrow's giveaway! Have a good day folks...

#3: "Nowhere on their website does it mention what types of Encryption formats it is capable of “ripping.” "
It would be meaningless if they did. DVD & Blu-Ray DRM isn't static -- something new can show up at any time with the week's latest batch of releases, and much, perhaps most(?) of the latest DRM doesn't have a name anyway. When I've had trouble playing a DVD -- not ripping or copying but just playing -- it's been because they went so far outside the specs, actually breaking the DVD in hopes that anything but a DVD player wouldn't recognize it. To me, common sense would suggest that what matters is if the ripper or copier you use works with your DVDs. Every company is going to say their ripper will work with everything, but the only way to tell if it works on your stuff is to try it. And since the developers of rippers & copiers are only human, I'd humbly suggest that it wouldn't hurt to have more than one -- that way you have something else to try if one fails with a new disc you've just bought, because that dev team hasn't figured it out yet.

#5: I got rid of all my DVDs and all CDs because they don’t last very long."
We should live so long. :) Undamaged, they have a longer life span than most people -- certainly longer than any hard drive or USB stick.
That said, discs do take room to store, it's more hassle to find the one you want & insert it into a drive, & many devices don't have a DVD drive in the 1st place. Which I think is why they have rippers -- Leawo DVD Ripper will take the DVD video that's stored in the decades old mpg2 format & re-encode it into the much more efficient AVC/H.264 that most media players, cells, & tablets handle today. A 6 or 7 GB mpg2 video file can look very good & take up only 1-2 GB re-encoded to AVC.

#6: "Warning!
This program can install K-Lite Codec Pack and checked this when start install!"
.
Good Point. The K-Lite Codec Pack page at videohelp.com carries this warning:
"NOTE! If you install all the included codecs/decoders you might get problem with other video software on your computer."
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/K-Lite-Codec-Pack
.

#8: "any way to specify a target max size? that seems to always come out too big…"
When you're encoding video the output file size depends on the frame size of the video, the fps [Frames Per Second], the type or format of video compression used [e.g. AVC], and the amount of video compression applied, usually controlled via bit rate or quality settings -- just like with jpeg images, the less compression you have, the better it'll look, but the bigger the file.
For standard sized video [720 x 480 or 576], AVC with a bit rate of 1.3-1.5 usually works well, but that won't give you the smallest file. If reducing the bit rate beyond that hurts quality more than you'd like, consider reducing the frame size &/or fps -- the fewer pixels you have to store, the smaller the file storing them is going to be. Note that most movies are shot at 24 fps [you'll often see 23.976 in software], but the NTSC standard in North America means that TVs & DVD players want 29.976 fps -- on a DVD this is accomplished by flags in the file telling the player to repeat frames. If/when you re-encode DVD or broadcast video, software can include those repeated frames as actual new frames, needlessly increasing the size of the file.
[I've read -- no idea if it's true -- than many or even most DVDs sold in the EU are US spec., meaning NTSC]

#10: "The text on GOTD did not tell, that is not a free program, but a licence for a year."
I normally don't like Any software licenses that just last a year, but at least with security software & rippers or copiers I can understand it -- it's not a matter of just writing the program's code & then fixing any bugs that crop up, but continuously doing research, & that has to be paid for somehow. In this case Leawo has to stay current with the latest DRM as it appears, & adapt their code to handle it.

#14: "Well as I read this I’m actually ripping DVD’s with the best there is and its free, Handbrake."
Ummm, no you're not, Joey. From the Handbrake site itself -- http://handbrake.fr/features.php
"Handbrake can process most common multimedia files and any DVD or BluRay sources that do not contain any kind of copy protection."
.
Reading the mpg2 video & AC3 audio inside the VOB files on a video DVD is no big deal, & neither is re-encoding that audio/video. The reason Leawo DVD Ripper costs $30 a year is because the DRM on that video DVD you bought prevents something like Handbrake from reading the correct video in the correct VOB files in the correct order.

#1 VaughnF and #9 Harry M:
You don't even need a temporary email addy. Just register the software with something like
"bogus-address-GOTD@mailinator.com"
then pop over to www.mailinator.com and wait for their response. Remember to delete the email after reading it.
Note: mailinator addresses are *public* and *open* and can not be passworded. They are for one-off, throwaway use.
And posting from them is not allowed.
Mailinator have other domain names if the "mailinator.com" one is recognised as a fake email.

Cool software. Let me back up my purchased DVD collection and free up my movies so that I can watch them on any device of my choice. There are loads of file formats the software is compatible with. The built-in video editor even allows me to customize video and audio content in various ways once I put it off the disc. I have no 3D player. So no interested in its 3D feature.
