Well I've only been in the Computer racket since 1979 designing, manufacturing, etc.etc. etc - - - so obviously I don't know much....but after burning 4 "coasters" and two hours of "fidgeting" I guess I'll just have to go back to my Sonic DVD program that's burned many thousands in the past 10 years cause I sure can't make THIS ONE work....

I installed Leawo DVD Creator 7.3.0 on Win 10 Pro. I was able to burn a DVD and an ISO removed the program. I use and prefer the Ashampoo Burning Studio 15 Paid Edition for my DVD burning needs!

Thanks for the trial!

ACtivation isn't that difficult. Install the software. In the 'read me' section, there is a link to the website. Put in your information and an e-mail will be sent to you that gives you the activation code. Insert this code into the activation black (found top right, gold key) and you're good to go.

Loaded up and activated OK but seems hard to find needed functions and use them.

Trimming clips is not easy and I still can't figure out how to add chapter points.

What happens after one year when license expires?
Does it become unusable?

As you can see, so many users have found the software has serious problems. based on my past experience I tried to forewarn them. Unfortunately, my comment was not allowed to be published. And countless users had to face needless crashes.
When a software is brilliant, we will praise it. When a software is bad, we will say so.

There appears to be a problem activating this S/W. It would be nice to hear from a spokesperson from the company.

Just for clarity... this is a one year license and it only does 5 minutes? I'm sure I got it wrong, and in this case I look forward to it if I am.

Compared to other software of this type I have tried, sadly this program is lacking in features such as menu design, adding chapter marks and no preview of the menu before writing to a disc.

The program dosen´t work I have try to start with one clip and when I start with edit the movie and adjust start and end point it just stop and closes and it come up a critical update I tryed to install and then it turns back to state it was before, and I have to install the program again and registrer it again, and when I try with same clip again, same happen again, so it seems as it are some real bug in this program, so I think they must fix it and give us a new chance with a program as working, coz this not make willing to buy it. ?

So, I downloaded the program, followed the instructions to go to the link and got an activation code, but then nothing. Nothing is installed on my computer, nowhere to put the activation code. Where did I go wrong?

You first need to install the software.
You'll receive a note saying you need to visit the following website to get a activation code. http://www.leawo.org/cooperation/giveaway-of-the-day.html
One you file out your name and email info you'll get an activation code.
Copy the activation code. open up the program you downloaded and insert the activation code into the box after clicking on the key at the top of the program box.

Seemed like a nice program, however, when I tried to burn some content to a DVD, a notice came up saying: "Inactive DVD Creator module converts 5 minute content only"
Said I have to activate and purchase it for $29.95 for a year licence.
Uninstalled.

There's always some dubiety about the meaning of 'a one-year license'.
Does it mean it can be updated for a year, or, does it revert to a 'trial' version after the one year ?

Reply   |   Comment by Stewart Wallace  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+24)

My question also. Is it good only for 1 year or not?

I was actually downloaded and tried a few DVD authoring freeware after coming across TechRadar's latest round-up review on the best free 7 programs to burn video to discs. I personally love Ashampoo the most, but the upgraded version is renowned for unexceptionable and unaffordable. So I'm glad to grab 1-year license and give this one a shot - Leawo and GAOTD, thank you the most kindly.

My result of top3 free alternative is:
WinX DVD Author
ImgBurn
CDBurnerXP (inferior but novice-intuitive)

Still no usable subtitle features (or multiple audio).
Covert X to DVD has a few issues, but at least it does the job.

Reply   |   Comment by cyklist  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+13)

Hello, does it has the subtitle in the original video? Or you were not able to find how to add it? Please provide more info for better assistance. Thanks!

No input for multiple languages (what file-what language), no setting for default language, no setting for default subs on or off, no menu items (or sub-menus for subs and audio tracks), no settings for character (type, size, placing, colour import from file, rendering, ...)....

"Please note: The software includes a 1-Year license. Leawo DVD Creator works as a module of Leawo Blu-Ray Creator program."

I think we all understand "1-Year license." But what is this "module" business? Is that another program we'll need to download in order for this one to work?

Reply   |   Comment by Blowfish  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+28)

Hello, module means this dvd creator is one of the apps that has been integrated in this all-in-one product. You can still use other apps you can see inside the program and you don't need to download anything else to use dvd creator, so no worries!
