Same thing happened today that happened just a couple days ago. I have Intel i3 6th gen, 128 SSD, 1 Tb hard, up do date Win10. The installation wrapper web links goes on through to the usual GOTD "What Now?" web page. But no evidence of being installed anywhere on my computer.
The troublesome (which are now becoming more quickly abandoned by the day) installs from this GOTD site - now seem at least half the time (download problems, install problems, registration problems). The majority of comments, complaining about installs, were never common until the installation wrapper took over. Perhaps a new approach could be taken.

Like so many of you, I'm still waiting for the GOTD download email link. Checked Yahoo servers, and my Thunderbird spam and junk folders. If something has happened, or this offering will be postponed, I surely hope GOTD will be decent enough to let us know, if possible. Don't want to be checking back and forth all night long!

So far four hours and still no email ... and yes I've checked my junk folder and it's not there. This is beginning to become a regular occurrence on this site.

I have to say that this site has so many layers, not only does this site offer some great giveaways at times, it has some of the funniest posts......
#8 You should really re-read the above, it does say that the creator is part of a suite and given you are only paying for said creator, why would any developer give you the rest for free?.....Simply put, you are stating the obvious.

UPDATE : I've just used an old but still valid eMail address of mine, and this time the whole process worked fine! Glad I could still get the Registration code, before the offer expired. Please, GOTD, do take notice of the glitch originating from your side.

Does this have the usual 1 Year Licence (or 6 Months) or is it to Keep, Leawo Started that Rubbish awhile ago that there software is Subscription Based now. That's a no no for me, Plenty of other DVD Creators out there with one of
purchase with updates or even Free, Problem with Subscription Software is You buy a License Key for the version you get at the time, Now that version should be for keeps (forever) as long as you don't update to a newer version then it should be for Keeps. But if You want a Newer version say for example v6.00 to version 7.00 than sure you should purchase a New License key, as it's a Major Upgrade, but not for say if you have version 7.00 to this new v7.6.0, it's not really a Major Upgrade Version 8.00 Something would be.
But of Course if you don't have this software no matter what version than you will have to Buy or get Free like Today,
But Remember GOTD don't normally have Updates.
So Problem with Subscription is you have to Pay Every Year no matter if you already get Minor updaes or even Major Upgrade. Sorry i just hate Subscription Based Software, i'm NOT paying every year just to keep a Software Running even if i don't Upgrade, And Problem is if You don't Pay for the subscription at the end of the year the Software usual turns back into a Trial Version !!!, SORRY NO WAY, Pity really Leawo is not bad software, but not that good that i will Pay Every Year.

Mark,

I too strongly dislike these limited-license programs, as I often forget about the short length of license until I go to do something, such as make a DVD in this case. I run it because I remembered how nice this or that program worked only to be told, "Oh-Oh, sorry! Time to send money!" So then it's dump the program and take time out to go find a replacement. Like many, I'm a disabled senior living on Social Security income so there is little to no money for software I would rarely use.

In this case, I have version 5.3.0.0 installed. Only thing I can usually do is download the limited version, install the newer one in a different location, and hope they all play together properly. When the newer/nicer one expires, go back to using the old one.Often times, I don't even bother installing newer software if it has a subscription scheme and the old one doesn't. Anyone else have better advice? --Mark Magill

Mark Magill,

Yes i to have Leawo Dvd creator Version 5.3.0.0 as well was an old Giveaway from this site i think,
has the 3D Tab and play preview on the right, still use but not much, But you could Try ConvertX to DVD by VSO Software, one of the Best and easy to use, So far it has made every format avi, mp4, 3gp and others from downloaded videos (tv and movies) [Legal] and home Cam's into DVD with Menus or without Menus. I actually use it all the time i have version 4 Something, The Newer version i think is in the Version 6 Range, i downloaded the trial of 6 once but took it off my Computer cause there was not Much difference from the 4 except the main Interface and of course a watermark on the dvd since it is a trial, BUT UNFORTUNATELY it's Not Free :-(

Here is the link to VSO https://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

Added so you can at least check it Out, You may be able to find a older version for free of the internet, but if you do take sure it comes with a License Key i found mine on the net it was a free offer at the time. anyway it's only a suggestion, may help you maybe not.
Mark.

Something wrong with the GOTD site?
Normally when I submit my e-mail to get the download link it only takes a few seconds for the e-mail to arrive.
Today however I submitted my e-mail 4 hours ago and still nothing....
so I submitted it again and after 15 minutes still nothing!!
and yes I checked my spam folder! seems something is broken at GOTD.
regards Nescio.

It would be nice if I could put my legally bought I-Tunes videos on a DVD for the family to watch in my living room. I would get this program in a heartbeat but the information doesn't say it will do that.

JR Smith, If you have a ROKU box you can get MY MEDIA app and stream your movie files wireless to your tv. as long as you have wireless capabilities

JR Smith, There are many ways to view iTunes videos on a TV without having to burn a DVD at all. I suggest starting with a web search to see the variety, but a physical way is to use the Apple Lightning Digital AV adapter (assuming you have a Lightning connector, if not there's a 30 pin version.) But depending on the other devices and connections available on your TV there are other choices.

JR Smith, You can get DVDSmith Movie Backup for free and copy the full disc or just the main video. To burn it to disc, I use InfraRecorder, which is also freeware. They both work fine without any quality loss. I've never had any problems with either one and I've been using them for more than six years now. Just look up the names, you'll find them easy.

Paul (and the other guys),. Thanks for the tips and I'll check them out later. I don't mind I-Tunes so much but I hate the DRM on the videos as I'm restricted to the machine in my tiny office and have no connection to the TV in the living room.
Thanks again.

My personal list of dicey software developers whose products may not be good for your PC system.

• SoftOrbits
• CoolUtils
• Algologic a.k.a. PC Winsoft
• KC Softwares
• Leawo

YMMV and if you like them, good for you.

ric, Most of us agree and knew that, thanks for reminding us. There are few more to be added to this list, but I leave it for the next time when their names show up again.

Leawo is part of that large group of Chinese software companies that all offer the same software under different company names with no fixed address, and often give their products away free. It's all a little suspicious, but I have used some Leawo products, and I've never found anything wrong with them. They've been around for years, so I would think that if there was anything major to discover in that regard, it would have been reported by now.
