KeepSolid Passwarden is a password manager that keeps users’ sensitive data, shares their private information in a secure manner, and protects their account from hackers. By means of the latest advances in encryption technologies, all the login credentials are effectively protected within the app's storage. Those who keep forgetting the credentials to log in to their social media, email, or bank account will appreciate a Master Password feature. By creating just ONE password, users will be able to log in to their Passwarden profile and get access to all saved data. This is an additional layer of security, provided that the password is unique, strong, and long. If it'll calm you down, Passwarden developers lack access to their customers' accounts.

I used LastPass for maybe 10 years, but tried a free 6 month subscription to StickyPassword and liked it a lot better, so I bought the Lifetime subscription offered here for less than $20. The bottom line is, to the people that get hooked on LastPass, you should check other options, regardless of software, and see if it might be a better alternative. I appreciate all the free alternatives here for that reason. I will not hesitate to change again if a better alternative arises. Hope that puts a better light on this offering.

Any password stored online is an invitation for the hackers. Passwords can be overwritten by the creator of the software or a back door can be included for easy access to your password. Never fall for such ideas.

Mike, here is an interesting article that explains how the password managers work and why it is safe to use Passwarden - https://www.keepsolid.com/passwarden/security/are-password-managers-safe

KeepSolid Support,
The problem with the page you linked to is that it written by YOU, the owner/seller/creator of the product. What right minded company would talk bad about their own product? My question is, can you provide a link to an INDEPENDENT SECURITY REVIEW of your software? The ONLY trustworthy source of information on a piece of security software is one done by an entity that has nothing to gain by either a good or bad review of the software.

Only 6 months? What happens to my passwords when the 6 months are over? And, you want $99.99 for a lifetime registration after 6 months? There are too many free or less expensive password managers out there. I think I'll pass on this one. Thanks GAOTD for offering this though.

KeepSolid Support.
Please answer Dean's question: What happens to our passwords, when the 6 months are up?

Good luck with SELLING a product that can be had for free! (LastPass)

Big Col, thanks for wishing us good luck!

By the way, just like LastPass (or most of other password manager services for that matter) - Passwarden can be used in a free mode without the paid subscription, but with limited amount of devices.
This giveaway provides 6 month of the paid service, for free.

Big Col, Passwarden can be had for free as well. After the debacle with Last Pass a few years back, I dropped using them. Got on StickyPassword and it works well (they also have free)

How is this any different from using something like Bitwarden or LastPass?

Reply   |   Comment by Paul  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+10)

Paul, what makes Passwarden standout - we offer lots of security features, easy-to-use application and safe data sharing and syncing.
This giveaway is a chance for you to try our service for free to see if it satisfies your needs.

KeepSolid Support, thanks for the offer, however any password online can be hacked by outside hackers, by employees or by the creator of the software with master password.
I USE encrypted USB drive in a vault, nobody can open it with the second USB drive that is separate from the first one. Using one of the USB drives makes the passwords locked forever and are inaccessible from any other computer but mine. Nobody can beat such security and it is very simple to operate.

Reply   |   Comment by Mike  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

Mike, Most password managers, if not all, do not know what your master password is. And feeling that vulnerable, do what many of us do and use 2 step verification.
Good idea with the drives except 1 small problem...it's hardware than can malfunction, or worse, be lost.

Mike,
I would like to learn more about what you are saying. Any links?

KeepSolid Support,

I have been a big KeepSolid customer - buying the lifetime on a site, followed by your more enhanced lifetime offer, as well as the SmartDNS lifetime offering.

I wished there was a full package to begin with to scoop it all up at one shot and be done. What I am not seeing here is a full explanation of how Passwarden is now worth dropping LastPass, BitWarden, StickyPassword, etc., and opting for Passwarden. I realize this is an opportunity to check it out. But, what makes it worth going through the effort when I have something else? What would make me want to flip? Thanks.

Reply   |   Comment by lman  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Mike, can you give a few details how this is accomplished?
Is it with a software that is open source or something else?
Sounds like a very interesting setup.
Thanks.

lman, if you're already using some of our services - you know how hard we work to make provide the best service for each and every customer, and it should be really convenient to have one account to cover most of your cybersecurity needs. Also, being a part of our ecosystem will allow you to get all apps, updates and support from one trustworthy provider.

KeepSolid Support,

To you and others interested, I can confirm I have been pleased with the other services I have used. Further, when I had a question in regards to OpenVPN .conf usage, I was answered promptly, and it was helpful.
