Giveaway of the day — KeepSolid Passwarden (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS)
KeepSolid Passwarden (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS) was available as a giveaway on November 5, 2021!
!!!Readme file contains only instructions how to get a free subscription and also links to setup files for all the supported systems!
KeepSolid Passwarden is a password manager that keeps users’ sensitive data, shares their private information in a secure manner, and protects their account from hackers. By means of the latest advances in encryption technologies, all the login credentials are effectively protected within the app's storage. Those who keep forgetting the credentials to log in to their social media, email, or bank account will appreciate a Master Password feature. By creating just ONE password, users will be able to log in to their Passwarden profile and get access to all saved data. This is an additional layer of security, provided that the password is unique, strong, and long. If it'll calm you down, Passwarden developers lack access to their customers' accounts.

I used LastPass for maybe 10 years, but tried a free 6 month subscription to StickyPassword and liked it a lot better, so I bought the Lifetime subscription offered here for less than $20. The bottom line is, to the people that get hooked on LastPass, you should check other options, regardless of software, and see if it might be a better alternative. I appreciate all the free alternatives here for that reason. I will not hesitate to change again if a better alternative arises. Hope that puts a better light on this offering.

Only 6 months? What happens to my passwords when the 6 months are over? And, you want $99.99 for a lifetime registration after 6 months? There are too many free or less expensive password managers out there. I think I'll pass on this one. Thanks GAOTD for offering this though.

Big Col, thanks for wishing us good luck!
By the way, just like LastPass (or most of other password manager services for that matter) - Passwarden can be used in a free mode without the paid subscription, but with limited amount of devices.
This giveaway provides 6 month of the paid service, for free.

Big Col, Passwarden can be had for free as well. After the debacle with Last Pass a few years back, I dropped using them. Got on StickyPassword and it works well (they also have free)

How is this any different from using something like Bitwarden or LastPass?

Mike, Most password managers, if not all, do not know what your master password is. And feeling that vulnerable, do what many of us do and use 2 step verification.
Good idea with the drives except 1 small problem...it's hardware than can malfunction, or worse, be lost.

Mike,
I would like to learn more about what you are saying. Any links?

KeepSolid Support,
I have been a big KeepSolid customer - buying the lifetime on a site, followed by your more enhanced lifetime offer, as well as the SmartDNS lifetime offering.
I wished there was a full package to begin with to scoop it all up at one shot and be done. What I am not seeing here is a full explanation of how Passwarden is now worth dropping LastPass, BitWarden, StickyPassword, etc., and opting for Passwarden. I realize this is an opportunity to check it out. But, what makes it worth going through the effort when I have something else? What would make me want to flip? Thanks.

Mike, can you give a few details how this is accomplished?
Is it with a software that is open source or something else?
Sounds like a very interesting setup.
Thanks.

lman, if you're already using some of our services - you know how hard we work to make provide the best service for each and every customer, and it should be really convenient to have one account to cover most of your cybersecurity needs. Also, being a part of our ecosystem will allow you to get all apps, updates and support from one trustworthy provider.

KeepSolid Support,
To you and others interested, I can confirm I have been pleased with the other services I have used. Further, when I had a question in regards to OpenVPN .conf usage, I was answered promptly, and it was helpful.
