Speech Studio uses a "Bring Your Own Azure Key" model — you pay Microsoft directly (around $16 per million characters, or free for the first 500,000/month on the F0 tier), so there is no margin stacked on top of cloud costs. The result: professional studio-grade output at 5–10× lower running cost than wrapped subscription services.

Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11; Processor (CPU): Dual-core 2.0 GHz or higher; Memory (RAM): 4 GB minimum (8 GB recommended for video dubbing); Storage: ~600 MB free disk space (installer size ~180 MB); Other: Internet connection required for license activation, Azure TTS calls, transcription, and video dubbing. A free Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services key is also required for the AI voices — the app walks the user through getting one (Azure's free F0 tier includes 500,000 neural characters per month, which is plenty for most personal projects).

It was fine to register, but the procedure is too complicated.
Even though it now shows PRO, it says that the license is for one year, even though the email with the license key says:
"*Please activate it ASAP. After activation, you can use Kaizen Speech Studio forever with this license."

I'm also getting the same security check error. I requested a license key using the "support@kaizen-apps.com" a few hours ago and so far no reply from them and repeated security check errors. The license key is taking so long, I worry about not getting it in time for the 24 hour Giveaway time window. IF and when Kaizen gets around to replying and sends the key they are promising to us, will it matter if I don't use my key by the end of today?

Thanks for the opportunity to try this out. I was cautiously optimistic about an app that locally renders quality text to speech. However, I was left mostly unimpressed by the text-to-speech capabilities of this app. Very few of the English speaking voices were high enough audio quality for production use and, of those, I really didn't find any of them distinctive or even particularly listenable. Additionally, many of them read text in an unnatural and arhythmic way.
I also experienced a number of frustrating UI/UX issues that made it difficult to audition voices or refine the way the text was rendered to speech.
I didn't really test the other features as I'm primarily interested in the text-to-speech functionality.
It's possible that they will add additional voice models over time but, for now, I will continue to use the more capable and refined online text-to-speech options.

RedJ, These voices are provided by Microsoft one of the leadings in this field. If you are comparing it with eleven labs then it will not be fair because for sure they are far better by many times expensive too. This Text To Speech caters to users who want to create podcasts, audio books which don't demand that level of refinements or you can say emotion in voice. If you mail us at support@kaizen-apps.com , we might be able to showcase some of the features particularly SSML not found at most places. I might not start testing this for a few weeks... how long is this useable... one year lic? Before I go through all the trouble ... above...
Any limit on amount of text can be turned to Audio? Also says... "A free Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services key is also required for the AI voices" How long/much is that good for? Thanks

Free, You can get Azure keys in 15 minutes and after that you enjoy upto 9 hours of text to speech. We have a guide on that too at link

If you go by mathematics, this much hours of usage can cost you very easily upwords of $20 , so we created this route for users who are ok with voices which are good but not as good as elevenlabs.

Per your replies to the previous people who had this problem I opened an incognito window and tried again. Success! Thank you for the suggestion. I'm posting here so that others may see the solution you provided.
I also appreciate that this license doesn't need to be activated today and the 1-yr clock doesn't start until it is. This is the first time I've seen an activation key provided on these terms and hope that other companies will consider following your precedent.

The e-mail with the activation code states:

As everything else about the giveaway says that the license is for 1 yr from the date of activation, I'm fairly confident that this is a mistake, and it isn't a lifetime Pro license. (Though even the free tier seems to offer a lot.)

The app is still buggy. There is a tab to select voice, but you can't select it. You only see the default Anbu. I tried it multiple times, but failed. For video dubbing, I need to provide my own Azure subscription key, which means I would be charged.
For text to audio feature, it shows the option to upload pdf, but when I did so, it hit server side limit.
In short, this software offers no value, and if it stays as such, it would surely fail. Why would anyone pay for a software that can't do anything and charges your Azure account for functionality

You need to download latest version from our website https://kaizen-apps.com/speech-studio.html . Regarding upload to pdf, can you tell us the issue to support@kaizen-apps.com , there is restriction applied by Microsoft on the size of PDF that can be uploaded, etc at one go , so if you are uploading a huge pdf it will fail. Azure Subscription key is needed to keep the cost low, for a functionality similar to this, it is very easy to get billed around $20 a month and can go higher if you are using elevenlabs, etc but yes, there voices are far better than the one provided by Microsoft Azure. So this product is for those users who are ok with voices suitable for podcasts, documentary, audiobooks, etc. Thanks

I see no legitimate use for AI speech production considering that the speech models are trained on other peoples voices ripped without direct permission to be used in AI speech generation. So people may be distraught to find their voices digitally cloned by software such as this and with no recourse except to try and take the AI models vendors to court in some human favourable jurisdiction at great expense. Thankfully this is NOT a complete program and depends upon you obtaining an Azure Key and using it's limited model which does still synthesise voices cloned without permission but is not the most convincing out there.

Azure voices are cloned voices normally without the original voice owners consent as AI does not create anything from nothing it always has to start with examples that are normally ripped from the internet without consent for that use as AI has no concept or morality or legality, it has been designed that way because it's easier to program AI without restrictions.
The only use I've seen for products like yours are the creation of disinformation and conspiracy videos on platforms like youtube and tiktok where the authors are too scared to use their own voices and they don't have enough money to pay professional voice-over artists to ignore their conscience and speak such garbage and lies.

When I use "Text To Speech", I type some word and go to Select Voice to change the default voice but it does not change. it's still Anbu ( Tamil Singapore). When I click on Transcribe then press Start transcriting, it raised error " Azure key not configure". At least, I can't not use any thing in this softwares. Unfortunately !

When I use this version in downloaded zip file from Giveawayoftheday, some features not works well ( in "Text to Speech" - besides the name of "voice" default there is not the word "change voice". I uninstalled and re-installed the new one downloaded from the main Website ( link-instruction is showed after installed ). So it works well.

Sam, There is an OTP code and a Key code. In order to get the Pro version you need to look for the place in the program to enter the Key code you were emailed and when you enter that you should get upgraded to the Pro version.
