It does NOT work. I add *.HEIC images taken on iPad Pro (and copied to Windows) and nothing happens.

While the app you linked to doesn't support HEIF , and does convert only toward JPG and PNG

Noemi, tried the one you suggest and todays offering on an image collection HEIC file found on:
https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=32568
and todays giveaway recognized it and converted the image collection to a set of JPG files in a folder and the first image as JPG file in the parent folder.
Imazing free heic converter failed to accept the same heic file, so I guess it only handles a subset of the format.
keeping this just incase I or a friend ever gets sent a HEIC file by mistake and need to use it as a JPEG or PNG or other supported file type.
