Transfer your music playlists between platforms in one click.

With Joyce Audio Converter you can sort out all your audio files and make an ordered music collection, convert any song to another size, convert chanels (stereo to mono), change bitrate or frequency. And you don't have to obtain any technical knowledge to do this. There are tips to every step you take. Most audio converters create intermediary wav files. Joyce Audio Converter converts tracks on the fly saving my time and hd space.

Speaking about saving time, note the high converting speed. Besides you can convert files in batches (two or more at once). Just imagine that converting 800+ files will take you not more than converting one file. Joyce Audio Converter can play any song for you before or after converting (sometimes it's the best way to see the difference in quality). Another pleasant thing is that Joyce Audio Converter may be run from within other programs via command line.

Joyce Audio Converter supports all music formats: MP3, WAV, OGG, WMA, FLAC, CDA, ACC, APE, MPP speaking about the target formats. The source formats are MP3, RA, APL, MPC, MP+, M4A, MP4, TTA, OFR, SPX, WAV, OGG, WMA, FLAC, CDA (built-in CD ripper), ACC, APE, MPP, WV, XM, IT, S3M, MOD, MTM, UMX. Even if you are looking for a converter to convert files to mp3 only choose Joyce Audio Converter.

Download the missing dll for Windows 2000 here

http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/G/GDIPLUS.DLL/5.1.3097.0/download.html

Save it to desktop and run the audio converter and it should pick it up!

No spyware that I can see, so far.
Looks like a nifty program, especially that it can read/write any format that I'd care for it to support. Unfortunately, it seems to have issues with my WAVs -- I get static along with the music/sound.
The program seems to use libraries that are open source, and yet, the program itself is normally 18.50$ -- why?
Despite the large range of codecs, the command line supposedly is limited to WAV, MP3 and WMA - shabby. Completely worthless for batch operations, though thankfully you can still convert a list at a time from within the program.
Also, despite some of these formats supporting more than two channels (stereo), the program itself only understands mono and stereo.
...and finally, what's with the color? Could this not have been made an on/off option at the very least?
Sorry, I think I'll stick to other converters (Foobar2000 and dbPowerAmp come to mind).

'Audacity' heavily seconded as the best free/open source audio editor. Does 99% of what Sound Forge does, minus the huge price tag. Only downside to Audacity is it might be a little tough for audio/computer newbies, but if you're not a newb then go for it. It's the best!

Downloaded today's GOTD offer, but will pass as I got the Sogou Toolbar alert too. Already got the audio ripper/converter that was offered Dec. 19th. Thought about comparing both, keeping only the fav, but after the warning on today's decided to stop the installation and delete.

For "nikhilg (#35), there are quite a few decent freeware and open source audio editors out there. My favourite is Audacity (open source) which you can find here . . . http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

My spyware protection found a piece of spyware in the program that is called sogou toolbar. The spyware was found in the same file that i downloaded the program into. The program still worked after i removed it. The piece of spyware has a rating of 4 out of 5 in damage.

For # 35 # who asked the following

"where can I get a free to use (or open source) audio editor software?

Comment by nikhilg — January 3, 2007 @ 10:44 am"

----------------------------------------------------------

I suggest "Direct MP3 Direct Cut" its free, no adware, and it works fine...been using it for years..Google it.

--------------------------------------------

As for the program, I might pass on it due to the "possible" adware/toolbar problem. But, thanks for offering the free program nevertheless!

Wait to tell you the truth I don't know if an antivirus or anything can be uninstalled in safe mode because I just remembered I had problems uninstalling other software in safe mode. I think what I might have done is accessed msconfig and took it off startup and then uninstalled it in normal mode when I could get back to the desktop in normal mode without the computer freezing.

"#21: You can have as many anti-virus programs as you want installed: they will NOT conflict with each other.

What WILL conflict are firewalls. "

Not true, they can both conflict. I accidentally installed two antivirus programs on my computer a couple years ago, Norton and Mcafee and guess what they conflicted. I couldn't even run my computer, had to go into safe mode to uninstall one of them because the computer was freezing on the startup process. I installed Mcafee the other month here I had some program on the computer which I mainly thought was for spyware, trojans and I don't even think the program had real time protection, it was conflicting with Mcafee. I had some freezes and after I found out what the problem was and uninstalled Avl Mini, my computer did not freeze anymore.

http://www.antiy.net/product/avl/code.htm (If you want to try it, there it is). It's free, at least that version is. You have to go back every month for the new registration code. I also uninstalled it and reinstalled it every month, till I started using Mcafee again. They didn't get along on my computer too well.

Hello everyone!
Ok, once again we have false positives on Adware.
Here we go with a description of Sogou Toolbar which is supposedly hidden in this giveaway:
http://www.pestpatrol.com/spywarecenter/pest.aspx?id=453098380

I did manual searches for the registry entries and files mentioned there - nothing found. Of course, automatic scanners found nothing as well.
Let me know if you find any evidence of the adware here, I'll investigate that.

Yours,
Slava
GAOTD

Any more info from the GOTD team or anyone else???

Does anyone else get the trial version? As I'm trying to convert a music file, I keep getting a popup saying "this program is shareware - you can test this program, but you cannot use it for commercial use. This dialog does not appear in the registered version."

How do I register it? It suspends the conversion while that popup box is up.
