Only 6 months registration? Sorry but I think I'll pass. Most of the offers here are at least fro 1 year. Some don't have any time restrictions on it other than no updates available. Thanks anyway GAOTD

For those of you who may be interested in installing this software on your computers I would like to point out that if you already have Malwarebytes installed, Malwarebytes will end up completely blocking this software & will flag it up as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program)

Its a raging war between both these software vendors as they both detest each other. The flagging up of iObit Malware Fighter as a PUP is very controversial as it is deemed as a false positive & MalwareBytes has been told about this countless number of times. Although there has been no proof of iObit Malware Fighter ever being a PUP, even if Malwarebytes maliciously does & completely ends up deleting iObit Malware Fighter on your computers.

One thing I'll say about iObit software if you download & install this & other types of software produced by iObit is that it's a platform to purchase their other iObit software that they'll try to sell you.

not a happy camper with this program. last month had it installed and ended up somehow getting ransomware and it encripted my entire system, and even took out EVERYTHING iobit including "Malware Fighter Pro". it changed everything to an "encripted Adame" format. so i will have to say its NOT that strong of an Av/Malware program.

I love that the serial number is inside the downloaded zip file... no hoops to jump through. I've purchased other IObit programs in the past and am delighted the Malware Fighter Pro is once again available with a 6 month license. Scanned my PC and found no malware (added an excluded folder first for my Linux Subsystem for Windows as I have Metasploit installed). The only thing that irritates me is turning off USB Disk Guard results in messages that I am not fully protected. But otherwise a gem of a GOTD as are all IObit products IMO.

Great, without my permission or go ahead, AVG steps in when installing the programme, saying, "Threat Secured. We've moved Setup.com to quarantine because it was infected with Win32:Malware-gen."

Nice of 'em. In fact, the file does not exist in my download subdirectory any more.

I don't even know how to turn off AVG -- or indeed how to turn it back on again.

It's a bit annoying when one programme designed to protect you is foiled by another one designed to protect you...

What should I do now?

Does the license include/allow upgrades during the six months?

I am using Windows 10. I have tried on/off connection with the Internet , however, every time I unpack the ZIP file the setup.exe is removed by my computer. No error codes or notices give.

Andy, I think it's your anti-virus program that is the culprit behind the removal (I had to temporarily disable avast)

Andy,

WIn10's Defender didn't have a problem with it, so as Roger posted, has to be whatever security software you've installed. You might be able to turn it off, like Roger did with Avast, or you might be able to go into the security software's logs and restore the file.

I’m not impressed with this offer as the license is only for 6 months. I’m also a little a leery of IObit as I discovered a charge on my PayPal account for an entire software suite from them just last week. The odd thing is haven’t purchased any software from them recently and haven’t used any of their products in the last few years.

I will say IObit was fast to respond and refund me when I emailed them about the charge to my account.

Kyle, The last time you made a purchase from IO Bit you may have left the automatic renewal box checked.

nigelxxx, Is that why Malwarebytes is removing Iobit Systemcare unless you force it to not remove it?

Reply   |   Comment by Tomcat  –  4 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

nigelxxx,

The question is:

Has Malwarebytes granted them permission to legally use their (Malwarebytes's) database?

Dune DUMAS,

Use a different email address on another service -- some, like in my experience RoadRunner email, block the emails with GOTD download links.
