Giveaway of the Day,
Already have VPN installed on Win10 64bit PC - downloaded fine once I got by Window SmartScreen unrecognized program warning. Installed but does not run.
Happy New Year to you, too

This solution worked for me. I downloaded the installation file to my Win 8.1 laptop using the Opera browser, which allows you to choose from five different VPN connections natively.

After extracting the files to a new folder, I ran the Setup.exe file as Administrator (RIGHT-clicking on the file). (This installation mode may not be essential, but it seemed like a sensible precaution.)

As the Readme file says, you then have to open the web page

http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ifotosoft-photo-stitcher-2-0/get-key/

and input your email address to receive the activation code.

When it arrives (within seconds, in my case), copy that code into your clipboard, open the iFotosoft program, paste in the code, and input the SAME email address that you used when you were specifying the destination for the activation code.

After you have clicked the button to enter the changes, you should be all set.

Load of rubbish, accepts correctly pasted pass code after closing programme down and reopening it then keeps telling me that I have days of trial left. Have to continually reinstall pass code every time I use it, which will not be much longer

Wanted something for my old XP (SP2) machine and this looked like a good option, installed ok and then I entered the registration key I'd been sent by email. It doesn't appear to recognise that key or retain it, and yes - I used the correct email etc.
Seems to uninstall ok so that's something!

Another user - yep - won't run, wasted time, worse off than I was before. There've been so many others having problems today, may I suggest we (you) promise (New Year's resolution on the part of iFotosoft?) to figure out and solve the problems(s) and have another attempt at this in a couple weeks? Meanwhile we can all just cool our heels on this, reduce the stress and have a wonderful New Year's Eve? I wish a Happy New Year to all our subscribers and very much to my Chinese friends working at iFotosoft. China's real new year's won't be for a month - (January 27), but they do celebrate ours also, and I wish them the best. Good luck to all, and thank you for your service.

Downloaded and installed on Win 8.1 64bit. Gave the desktop shortcut "Run as Administrator" status and ran compatibility trouble shooter. Task manager showed that it started as a process (or more than one process if you keep clicking the shortcut), but program never opens on the scree. I've tried other compatibility settings, same result.

I've wasted too much time on this so unless the developer can come up with a sure-fire quick fix, it'll be uninstalled.

Very disappointing. Luckily I still seem to have V 1.6 installed and working

On my Windows 10, NVIDIA GPU Activity shows that it runs on NVIDIA Graphic card automatically, i haven't see this behavior before, even video converters don't do that. but that's not the point, all i see from this program is its "photo stitcher.exe" process, no windows. So it may no be compatible with some Windows 10, if any, can't say for sure, system requirements say it is compatible with all Windows newer than XP SP 1.

Having similar problem. Windows 7 64 bit downloaded ok but when run showed 5 days trial. Input registration code which was accepted. When prog run still showed 5 days trial with screen frozen. Re-input registration code which was again accepted. When prog run still showed trial but now for 4 days instead of 5. Again screen was frozen. On both occasions this required Task Manager ctr alt del to release screen. Not saying that on this ocacasion it is GOTD's fault but am heartily sick of so many duff offers!

Downloaded and installed without problems on Win10(x64). Requested and received registration code which I entered into the program at the startup message which says I have 5 days of trial left.

However, after exiting the program and running it again, registration is lost (I get the trial message again). I can re-enter my registration code which is accepted again, but is lost with next program start.

I too am having the problem where I try to run this program, it appears in task manager, but nothing opens to allow me to register or use it. I am running Windows 7 home premium x64.
As this appears to be a problem common to several people here, is there a generic solution yet that can be posted here for us to try?

To complete my previous post: it occurred that the software offerred today does not uninstall correctly and leaves a number in the computer registry entries and files on disc which Revo Uninstaller Pro detected during the uninstallation process.

My advice is to think twice before touching any further offers of the sofware provider of IFotosoft.com

Just another waste of time due to malfunction of the registration process (Win XP SP 3 32-bit). Download was OK. The registration window opened OK. I entered my registration mail address and and registration code receiced by mail from GAOTD correctly, the programme requested internet access and I permited it so to do and since then nothing happened. At the time of registration no blocking, anti-etc. programmes were running. Three attempts failed!!!

How long will GAOD provide us with untested and unreliable sofware only to make GAOTD users waste their time?

It’s a shame that GAOTD used to be such a good service when many competent reviewers posted their opinions and advice like Ashraf and many others. Almost all of them seem to have gone somewhere else.

I seriously wonder if we should not declare a mass sign-off from GAOTD to give them a kick and wake up to provide quality services. Today there are so many alternative offerrors of similar services.

Time’s money. If a gift means waste of time to learn that the gift is useless, then it is no longer a free gift. Shall we continue to support such poor service of GAOTD and software "offers" with out clicks here?

I did install the program in Win10-64 Pro.
It opens fine and the registration went fine:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10366431/_GOTD/iFotosoftPhotoStitcher20_20161231/Registratie.png
And About:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10366431/_GOTD/iFotosoftPhotoStitcher20_20161231/About.png
BUT browsing the HD, it is slow and at last the program stops working, when it opens a folder with pictures:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10366431/_GOTD/iFotosoftPhotoStitcher20_20161231/Vastloper.png
As soon as the titlebar is shifted, the program stops to work.
Maybe a problem with netFramework? version?

This won't download and I object to having to install additional software that I don't want or need and have to create an account just to download today's offering. What the hell is going on with GOTD, with each week that passes we are seeing more software that won't download, doesn't work or detected as a virus (even if it is a false positive). I'm sorry to say it but GOTD has gone rapidly downhill over the past few months and seem from the number of comments being posted daily that there aren't as many people using the site as there used to be .... Why aren't GOTD doing anything to sort these issues, do they not test the software before posting it? Only GOTD seems to have these issues, I use other similar sites and never have these problems with them .... Answers anyone?

Difficult to see where the developer thinks today's $40 software is going to find any takers. Though there are said to be, at the time of this writing, 9,269 iFotosoft Photo Stitcher licenses available free of charge, Microsoft issues today and every day an unlimited number of free licenses for its own panorama maker.

Originally released back in 2009, Image Composite Editor -- otherwise known as Microsoft ICE -- was developed by the Research Division's Computational Photography Group at Redmond and since that time has had a welter of resources thrown at it in a way that only a super-giant developer can.

As many here know, I'm no fan of Microsoft, neither its corporate ethos nor recent Windows 10 sharp practice. However: Microsoft Research is still run by geeks rather than accountants, and ICE is an astonishingly accomplished product -- and especially since its last update, which transformed it from being pretty darn good to outstanding. Details here:

http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/ice/

(NOTE: there's a great deal of information about the product on that page, including references to Microsoft codecs available for XP compatibility.)

As a giveaway today, iFotoStitcher is a nice New Year's Eve present. Sadly though, nice is not ICE. In the realm of panoramic image making, Microsoft's always-free offering is as adroitly developed, and as seriously talented, as it gets.

MikeR, Just tried Microsoft ICE - superb program. Thanks for the suggestion.

Reply   |   Comment by Harroman  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+7)

rww, Microsoft's ICE, like iFotoSoft's Photo Stitcher, is a panorama-maker, software that intelligently blends a series of panned images of a single scene into a single picture. What you're looking for is photo editing software.

Reply   |   Comment by MikeR  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

MikeR .. .

As long as you don't turn me into Val Kilmer from Top Gun ... or something like that ... .. .

Your recommendation of "ICE" is pretty nice.

Many Thanks again ,

And Happy New Year toward 2017 to You and All here with GOTD.
