I tried this program for the second time. When it was given away earlier, I could never get it to run. So I uninstalled it. I downloaded all the files again today and when I went to run the program I get the same message that iClone has stopped working. Ugh, what a waste of time. I have a Win 7 64bit desktop. The problems looks to be related to a Nvidia dll. Here is the diagnostic detail:

Already registered some years ago so when I clicked to download, I was already signed in. Downloaded the five files and bookmarked the tutorial page. All files loaded quickly. GTX 1060 video card runs directx 11. Program started and ran with no problem. (Note: Crazy Talk loaded and ran fine when loaded last week.)

I can't open the program. I had the same issue with Crazy Talk program a couple of weeks ago. Any troubleshooting tutorials you can direct me to?

My iClone 6 will not start. I am getting a message saying that I should try switching from DirectX 11 to Direct X 9.
Despite having done so, the program still will not run, and the same message appears.
I am running win 10 (1809) 64 bit on a one year old computer with AMD Radeon R7 240 display adapter.
What should I do?
Regards,
consuella

Like a lot of others her I couldn't get this software to work, even after trying LadyLei's tip of using Dir9 and after a couple of frustrating hours of getting nowhere I contacted the developer but have yet to receive a reply or even any acknowledgement from them. Poor bushiness practice if you can't even be bothered to help your customers (potential customers). If/when they do get back it will probably be too late to register it anyway. Settled for an unistall and a return of my sanity. I was hoping to use this for a project I'm working on, guess I'll need to find something similar that actually works. Had this problem with other GOTD offerings from this company in future I'll avoid them.

I used the link provided by Reallusion to report -in detail- following each step, completing installation and iClone simply NOT launching, and am awaiting a response including resolution of the issue and will try to report back with any progress.

BTW-for those who can't get the main prog to open, I also had that problem but when I changed the graphics to run on Dir9 instead of dir11, it came up. Found that solution on the site.
Don't really understand that bit cause I run games with dir11 just about everyday without a problem.

I also went through ALL listed steps, downloaded all 6 files, installed as recommended and clicking on the desktop icon pauses VERY briefly but then NO LAUNCH, NO MESSAGE... NOTHING appears to happen . Writing the company to resolve a prior issue and I don't want to miss out on this as well. Please provide a workable solution and time to use it.

Okay so I downloaded the first 5 with no problem but the 6th one takes me to online tutorials. BTW turned off my virus prog first. So I am thinking because there are so many tutorials this is what is suppose to happen.
Will check back later to see if anyone can confirm this for me...gotta get some sleep; have been up for 30+ hours straight and the brain isn't exactly at its sharpest!
Not sure I can run it, however which would be a bummer. Have onboard Intel Graphics Win7Pro 64 i5 processor. Can't afford a new computer so if it won't run I guess I am outta luck. Guess I can still read the tutorials and hope for the laptop fairy to suddenly appear at some point.

The program will not open. Even as Administrator. I click on the icon and nothing happens.
Strange because Iclone 6 and Iclone 7 trial versions both worked fine?

I had no reply from Reallusion but I found a solution myself:
goto c:/programdata/microsoft/windows/start menu/programs/iclone 6
double click on 'iClone Graphics Mode Selection''
select 'directx 9'
try to run 'iclone 6' again, it worked for me at least.

is it worth downloading this or have Reallusion stripped out so much it becomes virtually useless, like they seemed to have done with Crazytalk Animator last week, which lacked the stated boning and facial morphing?
I appreciate the software is free but if it's so reduced in functionality it becomes pointless why give it away, other than to gain some free advertising.

DawkinsDog, For me, both programs were worth downloading. Neither iClone nor Crazy Talk Animator appear to be "stripped out" programs. The version of Crazy Talk Animator I downloaded last week had the bones and facial morphing. The tutorials explain where to find and how to use.
Save | Cancel
william, that's weird because I followed a few video tutorials and with Crazytalk, such as their own one animating the dog, and when I got to the import image step the option to import as the specified type simply wasn't available. I tried different image formats in case that was causing it, still no luck. Bones worked but only with the included models, not from anything I tried to import myself.
Oh well, I'm glad some appear to have got it working properly!

Can I use my own picture in this program?
Thanks in advance!

I was also a previous member of Reallusion.com but I don't know where they hid the registration number for this program

I won't download as I have the latest version, please note I make a living out of using this software, it is probably the easiest to use and one of the most powerful animation software out on the market.
Congrats Reallusion!
