Jonathan, Admin rights won't even help since the problem is on the download site. Look how many people are having problems. I'm sure the Powers will make it right with those of us that still would like this software. Please remember the developers of the software are not responsible for broken deployment system of said software give away. Give them some time people, it will get fixed.

Eli , Umm..if you look at post 11 I made, it isn't just GOTD, so the developers are responsible in this case. I downloaded directly from the developers website and get the same block notice...and I did not use the GOTD link to get to said website.

Product installed but will not run. When it tries to open all I get is an error message. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 4 times. Tried installing to a different folder even a different drive but got the same error message and application still would not open.

I, too, am receiving the "An administrator has blocked you from running this app." error report and I, too, (like others before me) am the Administrator.
As there have been a number of people reporting the same message (and for some time now), I find it rather odd that GOTD has not yet addressed the problem.

It would appear our newest Win 10 update has made a dilemma. It would seem that some programs, including this 1, will not be allowed installation on a computer. Gone through Win 10 settings including Firewall and still, no install. No I will not disable non MS anti virus to install this program because it is NOT the therma wrapper that is preventing it.
I decided to try and go to the actual website, download the installer from there, and try running it as admin. No dice. If there is a work around, without having to use a VM, then I am listening.

Hi Estrella. I am not sure there is a way of recovering a password in Truecrypt. What I can suggest is you contact the authors of Veracrypt (who took Truecrypt over) and ask them if there is a way or some software that can do it. Their web address is www.idrix.fr . If anybody is going to know a way to do it, it will be them. Hope you sort out your dilemma.

Cannot be done.
For that sort of thing to work, the password would have to be stored somewhere, which weakens security, so it was purposely kept out of both TrueCrypt & TrueCrypt's successor, VeraCrypt.
That said, if the file is truly important, you might check out hacking tools that would let you perform a brute force attack, where one password is tried after another. Google something like "brute force truecrypt" [w/out quotes] & you get hits like this:

jhone, I installed the trial on a virtual W7 Starter and copied the programme folder to a virtual W10 64 Pro. That runs fine. The activation is stored elsewhere on C, so I had to activate it on the virtual W10 64 Pro.
