I had a HitFilm 4 express (free version) already installed on my computer.
I've removed the old version with deactivation and installed the giveaway one but when I login with my account the software activates to my old version without the packs (SciFi & adventure).
What should I do?

I can't figure out how to get the scifi add in. Downloaded quickly for me. Installed with only one failure the first time, but restarted it and it worked fine. Now, if I can figure out how to get the scifi :)

Downloaded and installed. For some reason the email I have been using no longer receives certain activation emails. I had trouble with SodaPDF earlier- I used the email I always use and didn't receive any activation email, even in the spam folder. I tried again with an alternate address and the email was received instantly. Exact same thing in this case. Does anyone know of any issues with everyone.net-hosted email addresses? The email is not an @everyone.net address, but rather a website that outsourced to them with their own domain for the email address.

No guides or popup comments/tools to assist new users. I am going to keep for now and go through training to become more familiar with this program. Might sign up for the free training starting Aug 8.

To others having trouble with setup: Read the requirements for your computer (I have 64 bit, also RAM 16 GB which it will use like a hog when processing, Graphics is very import or this software will not work for you). If you have slow network connection, it will take time to download. To activate you need to create a login in on the site supplied after you open the program.

* Users, with Win7 and above you can right click on any zip file and select Extract and let windows extract your files. You don't need additional software to extract compressed files.

I have had little time to examine this software, but from the developer's description it says that this includes the Sci-Fi pack. Is the Sci-Fi pack automatically installed with the GAOTD download? If not, how do I get the Sci-Fi pack? I registered for an account successfully and the software is activated.

What else do I need to do ?

I went and tried one more time to install this, going as far as (against my better judgement) turning off my anti virus. Same results. Blank page with just a header, but this time my uninstaller froze and had to be re installed. This install is just plain suspicious to me due to all the odd anomalies it creates. I also wonder if this is somehow cloud associated for parts of it's operation, as why have what seems like company access to some degree. Bad installs (x3), outside program issues, just too much weirdness associated. No tanx!

I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. First I get a error about some CRT and I'm not using a CRT. It's a 23'' flat screen. Then I get a error telling me my graphics drivers are outdated, to upgrade them. So,,, I go to Intel's website and they say, I'm using the best-es, most super duper, current drivers in the known universe on my little diddle computer. Now, Who would you believe, Intel or HitFilm 4 Express? I'm choosing Intel and deleting this thing! Good luck to anyone trying this GOTD. I hope you have better luck.

In the "Step 2: Download the installer", there is no 32 bit installer., only 64 Bit.
My computer is 32 Bit. Could you Pls tell how to install this program?

After jumping thru way too many ridiculous hoops to get the thing installed (It downloaded to my temp files (?)(YES- my Firefox settings ARE correct, all dl's are supposed to go to Downloads!) and registered, I was greeted by a blank screen with only the header showing! GOTD has become one giant headache with it's offers. Uninstalled, tried again, same result. I give up. Uninstalled.

I keep getting the error message: "This installation package is not supported by this process type. Contact product vendor".
My Computer: Dell XPS, 1.4GHz Intel Pentium 4, 400MHz FSB, Intel 850 chipset,

I paid Hitfilm 2 Pro after trying express and it was very good indeed and decided to give 4 a try but sadly my machine only had Intel HD3000 so, although I did install this, it did fail to run as expected.

However it is good to see a vendor actually think about how best to sell it's paid products by not only giving away a very well featured free version but all of the support and guides that you could need.

That gives prospective purchasers more incentive to pay out the money for the Pro version, even though it is expensive.

Hitfilm might want to consider the odd coupon day now and again though.

Hitfilm 4 Express + Sci-Fi add-on pack downloaded quickly for me (about 4 minutes), and installed fine on Windows 10 Pro.
Registration worked as expected. Now to start the learning curve so I can help my grand-son learn how to add effects to his videos.

Hopefully these will show up as available plugins when I start Sony Movie Studio. I know I have some Hit Film 3 effects that came bundled with that editor.

How can I get the activation code?I can't see any code?

Hitfilm is INCREDIBLE......I have their express package 3 from 2015....WOW....I do all the Adobe products Premiere, After Effects, etc, have played with Avid, and Sony Vega......what I learned from HitFilm is better than all these combined! You will develop mad skillz working with Hitfilm.....seriously!

DL and Installed on Win 7 pro 64 no problems Registration was a breeze no problem. A youtube video popped up and wow this is commercial Theater film editor stuff. Wow that is just ******* nice, I would love to see the look on some of the people faces when they finally get this software and see the potential like that guy said could definitely change the market. Creativity going to go up a few notches, Youtube might have to get some more servers in a few months if this takes off. I don't think I would have found this one in time if it's for one day only so Thanks GAOTD This one is definitely a keeper for me.

Downloaded it. It's telling me I need to change my screen resolution to 1024 by 728 or it might not work right. Well, sorry, but I use 1920 by 1080. I tried changing it, and it was completely wrong for my wide screen monitor. Any solution to this problem? I'll wait for a response before I uninstall it.

This is the BEST greenscreen software you can get, it beats most if not all paid greenscreen software. I have some paid greenscreen software and Hitfilm is SO MUCH better. Thanks Hitfilm for the extras and thanks for being a software company that has the best free or paid software when we have so many that charge and you get less from them !!!!!!!

Doesn't look like they were ready for the swarm. Gonna take 4 hours to download 434 MB on a 60 MB/s pipeline.

Quick update on last comment: In the interest of giving this a fair trial, I had another attempt at getting this software to install and run but once again ran into problems. Access violation, errors, software not found and finally blue screen. I've run a battery of diagnostics and cannot find anything on my system that prevent this from installing or running ... Checked for conflicts, nothing found. I know my system isn't at fault as this is a new build which has been benchmarked and soak tested and stress tested with no errors ... Conclusion, it's either badly written software or GOTD have screwed it up in some way ...

forgot to add that HitFilm have a YouTube tutorial every Thursday with previous clips available to watch, a good place to find out what this programme does.

well after waiting 15mins for it to download, the registration was simple, GAOTD send you the registration code, which I sent for while it was loading the programme, that opens up with a box, log in or register, registered with my name & email inserted the code and off I go, what it is like is a different matter, will have to play around with it and find out, might report back later to let people know.

I down loaded and installed on Win 10 64bit Anniversary update and it installed without a hitch and runs great. There is also a free video course you can sign up for and it starts on Aug. 8th. Can't beat that. Thanks Giveawayoftheday.

No way to try and test. Unfortunately, because it looked interesting enough

Thought this would be an interesting piece of software and was keen to try it out ... I really should have known better! Downloaded and installed, even managed to get the key but after that everything went pear shaped. First attempt at running I got access violation errors, uninstalled and reinstalled. Second attempt at running told me I needed Quicktime installed .... Already installed and latest version. Rebooted system and tried again to run and it locked my system. Uninstall Hitfilm and Quicktime and then reinstalled both programs again. This time I got a memory access violation error and Windows error saying that the program couldn't be opened.

After an hour of messing around and trying to get this to work, I finally decided better things to do with my time, uninstalled.

I have an account with the free version of the software activated. I tried to register the new activation code I received via this giveaway to get the Sci-fi Adventure Pack. The code does not work. I tried to create another account to restart from the beginning. It does not work either. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, I deactivated my program trying to reactivate with the new codes. Nothing works.

Help please.
