I installed Glary. It went easily. Thank you!
However I will be changing my computer for another next week. How can I keep Glary utilities on my next (and better) computer?)

In the download I got there is no Setup.exe file, only a file that says Setup containing a mere 2434kb. When I clicked that I got a box from GOTD saying the software was successfully activated even though nothing had been installed on my computer.

Aha. Checked download manager, which said, "This file is not commonly downloaded" (whatever THAT means), but allowed me to select "Download anyway" - and all is good. Strange, though.

Awesome program. It has many various useful utilities and tools for taking care about the system, includes removing malwares.
There is one interface under another, so you can find many utilities and tools for yourself. Thanks to giveawayoftheday and this software's team for the nice present.

I have asked for an activation my Hotmail account to receive a serial number but have as of this time received a response on that account. What have I done wrong to not receive a response. My old Glary Pro is still is active with about 100 days until it has to be renewed but Give away of the Day will not be allowed to activate this account at that time.

Is there a way to see how many days are left on your Pro license?

I have version 5.145 installed, and I'm assuming I installed it on June 30 2020 last time it was given away so I have a month left and might as well refresh the license for a year. I don't remember if in years before 2020 Glary gave away lifetime licenses or it's always for 1 year?

Jackson, Bottom right corner where it says Pro, left click on it and "license manager" will open. That will show expiration date as well as allow you to install the new, from GOTD, activation code. (switch license..do not change email in it, just erase old code, insert the new and hit activate now)

Highly recommended from me. I liked it well enough several years ago that I got the pro version, lifetime upgrades. So I don't need today's offer but would jump on it otherwise.

Do I have to download and install with the time limit, as I have just had sinus surgery this afternoon and can download but not install on my laptop until tomorrow?

You will need to disable your antivirus for this to install, as well as needing to extract the files from the zip and run the setup as administrator (usually I'm able to do this from the zip file without creating the extraction folder but not with this one), open the readme and go to the web page shown to get the license key.
Installed fine for me after that. Be sure to uncheck the boxes you don't want during the installation. One thing I suggest with any of these programs that "clean/boost" your pc is to create a system restore point before running it.

The giveaway can repair your disks and system files. Because of that, it is better to use the official portable, rather then the installed version. It is available on the site of the maker.

As I told : J.Barry, Hi, Since it is a one year version, I updated from V5.164 to V5.166 and it works fine. I will continue to upgrade during this one year version. Have a great day..Dan

I have installed GLary Utilities version 3.9.2 again and have it scanned, press the button. Everything removed what was wrong and the program removed back. Next year I will install GLary Utilities version 3.9.2 again and have another scan and ... until next year ... GLARY UTILITIES Version 3.9.2 has no limitation of 1 year. Always work.

Paula Lecomte, if you re-install 3.9.2 for any reason, the activation code is not recognised any more. So you will need to install the latest one-year version to get it to activate with the new code. HTH.

I had used this program but it's to thorough, it removed to many items. I would suggest you filter some cleaning tools.

IMO; Out of the top five Glary Utilities is one of the best. I've been using this software for years and it's never let me down. It also comes with a ton of other features. Give it a shot, I'm sure you like! Thanks to GOTD and Glary Utilities for the offer.

how do you think that Glary U compares w Iobit Advanced system care??

mc, I have used both. While Advanced is a good program, I find it too pushy (have to do this, remove that, don't forget this) and resource intensive. Glary does it all sitting in the background, allowing you to decide what to do and when to do it. Plus having the built in software update tool, and uninstaller, is a bonus.
Been using Glary going on 4 years now, put it up against some of the other "system care tools" :Advanced, WinOptimizer, WiseCare, CCleaner.....Glary is still on the computer.

You must Activate the Pro version, the instructions are in the Readme file which is in the folder that you downloaded, it includes a url to go to. Hums

Look for the text "Portable (No installer, Zip Format)"
and "Portable (No installer, Self-Extracting)"

It should not be too hard to see if you have something approaching normal vision and hear if you rely on a sreen reader utility. No idea if the portable accepts the giveaway license key.

barnavy, once you have installed the software, on the Glary start screen in its upper right area, click on menu, and you are presented with a selection for creating a portable version. I don't know of a way to get a portable version without having to install the program.

I had this software from GOTD just over 10 months ago. Uninstalled that version, downloaded and installed this version which automatically updated to the latest version. Now have this software for another year. Good one GOTD

It was unnecessary to uninstall your still-licensed copy from 10 months ago. Simply allow it to update (to 5.166) then enter the new license code from today.
