Reg Organizer is a set of essential tools to tweak and optimize Windows.

This program was created to make playing music on a computer more intuitive and affordable for anyone who wants to make music. It offers the most natural way to make music by simply using your touch screen or your hand in front of the web cam. If you don’t have these you can also use your mouse.

Creating your favorite instrument is also very easy: you need a couple of seconds of the sound that your instrument will make and import it as a WAV file. It will be converted into instrument and you can still adjust the individual frequencies of your instrument. It also has the option to record your performance into a WAV file.

The best idea will be rewarded with a license of the pro/extreme edition. Please use Ideainformer to submit your ideas!

Anyone figure out how to close Settings and the Instrument windows once opened? I don't see any Close button or X button or context menu interface... Am I missing something?

BTW this apears to practically be a portable program as it does not seem to save settings and the activation data is stored in the installation folder if it's installed into a location that has non-elevated write access like a USB thumb drive!

So some people seem to have issues with the setup file delivered from the GOTD website, you can simply download the same program from the GiMeSpace website and use the key you got to unlock. Enjoy this program!

I
was able to download the trial from the program's website, then use the registration key on it.

But ... it is just about the least intuitive product I've ever seen. And has no instructions/help. I did finally get it to work...but this needs a lot of work to make it successful in the marketplace.

It's kind of a "noisemaker" at the moment.

Thumbs up from me.

I have just been immersed for about 15 minutes solid and have thoroughly enjoyed discovering what I can do with a mouse - now to see what I can do with the camera.

Some of the sounds are very pleasing and sometimes pressing right or left button changes things but not sure what.

Is it any use?

Definitely, if not just to unwind.

Will you produce and worthwhile compositions? IF you are already musically talented then you stand a chance but if not, things can only get better.

Had I been given this as a Xmas pressie i would have a smile on my face well after the turkey.

Download and install - play around and dont give up too soon or you will miss out on a gem.

Too old for this stuff? Well 3 score & ten says I am not, so you choose.

Thanks GAOTD and especially GiMeSpace

A keeper from me.

Nothing gets installed, a little pop up window appears and that's it!

Boluxsoftware, You need to temporarily disable your anti-virus for this one to install. I had the same thing happen first time I tried to install it.

Reply   |   Comment by Tj Anderson  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Boluxsoftware, If that doesn't work try downloading the program from the gimespace website and run it as admin.

I don't understand what this software is for. There is no example on their website. I found one video at YouTube, but still don't get an idea of the use of this.

Carl, Open the readme file and follow step by step what is written there and you will understand how to use this program.

err creating music with this is very unikely... it's more a virtual theramin without discrete notes... the GUI grid based controls is akin to the frequency control of a theramin going left to right and the amplitude control going down to up where the first parameter is the low side of the scales.

It definatly does not work in Vista since it requires a procedure export in user32.dll not present in windows vista installations.

You might be able to do the theramin part from the star trek original series theme tune... if you consider that making music LOL

J.Barry, on seeing the notification I was ready to be proven wrong about THIS progrm.... LOL Of course a real theramin can be played musically for certain parts like a non-verbal soprano like part because of the difficult but usable two hand 3 dimensional interfaces, you must admit that even that acomplished theramin player would have sounded fairly lame without all the conventional instruments rounding out the performance. But this program is a crude emulator with the screen interface being a 2D interface with a single point for both pitch and amplitude. There is a keyboard like interface but again it's not properly musical especially when the starting sample is a piano chord and it is then digitally transposed as a series of semi-tone seperated notes which will produce of key chords it might be possible to play if it's polyphonic multi-touch screen and the starting samples are single note samples then one could create proper chords and play in a musical key or outside the key deliberatly and not because of poor design. It cannot do mutli-touch polyphony using just a multi-touch synaptics touchpad. Maybee someone with a multi-touch capable touch screen can tell us if it can play two or more notes from two or more points of contact with the screen over the graph or key like interfaces?

TK, You still run Vista? :D

Reply   |   Comment by shegeek72  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

shegeek72, yup on my laptop that operates as media and other server as well as my prefered operating system. It's regularly patched with the latest security patches and has 4TB of storage built in. I use my windows 10 laptop as a thin client and RDP to my Vista Home Premium machine for almost all giveaway activities. The video chip is hanging off the PCB so cannot sensibly be uprated plus it was one of those HP pavilion laptops that run hot so would lnot be advisable to try and install later versions of windows as it would cause too many license problems with the thousands of programs on it :-)

I don't know why...but lately whenever I download a zip file before I even get a chance to get the mouse pointer over to the icon...it disappears !

Reply   |   Comment by Ian  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

Ian, neither do we know why but we lack ANY information about your system since you've told us nothing with which we could formulate any reasons... sorry.

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-5)

Ian, That sounds like some kind of security program is deleting your downloads.

Reply   |   Comment by GiMeSpace  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-2)

TK, Well...ooops ( blame the migraine...I do). Windows 10, Zone alarm, AVG antivirus. I tried disabling the firewall and the anivirus...to no avail...same damn thing happened, Download proceeded fine...right up until it was finished, then before I could get the mouse pointer over to the Zip file icon...it vanished !

Reply   |   Comment by Ian  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

To Ian - try a different browser, or [ Ctrl ][ J ] in Chrome to see ALL downloads and then select [ Keep Anyway ] for the downloads that Chrome has "removed" due to the download's lack of security information or other reason.
.

Reply   |   Comment by Peter Blaise  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Ian, Try a browser other than Chrome. Chrome likes to "protect" it's users from themselves by deleting downloads it's never seen before.

Reply   |   Comment by FeMaster  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Ian, Usually if it's a security program sanitising a download it usually brags about it verbousely proving it is doing something useful! If I were you I'd try using some system monitoring programs to see if one can see what process initiated the delete event... something like sysinternals PROCMON with no filters active which will churn out reams of data as you track the download and disapearance of the zip file. I'd also install search Everything utility to monitor the latest files being created/modified to watch everything going on.
I'd suggest try renaming the zip to something else like .txt using save as interface and put it on an external thumb drive and see if it vanishes from there too... You can use the installer from the vendors HOME edition trial installer and see if that exe installer vanishes too... obviously you'll still lack the license key but I'm sure the vendor can send you that if you explain you are unable to access the giveaway bundle zip. You could try different browsers too. It is entirely possible there could be malware or just a nasty interaction between overlapping 3rd party security programs. Hope the migraine clears up as that will make any debuging unwanted computer behaviour nigh on impossible.

Ian, i'm not a computer high wiz but that's a new, strange problem for me- have you done a text search for the file name afterwards?

Ian,

most likely it's your anti-virus setting

Reply   |   Comment by Tj Anderson  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Chrome does that to me. It runs scans on its own and deletes some GAOTD downloads.

Having usual anti-virus already, I disabled this from Chrome's security settings, and that fixed the issue.

Fun toy! Easy registration with serial in the read me.

Different than most "music making" programs - not what I would call an "intuitive" interface, but fun to use.

Thanks for the lifetime license! That is rare these days and much appreciated.

Stephen Moratti, it worked fine for me.

Did you try the old "run as administrator" trick?

Reply   |   Comment by Noah Body  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-3)

Stephen Moratti, If you are still unable to unlock then email GiMeSpace your serialnumber that shows in the regsitration dialog to get a manual unlock.

Reply   |   Comment by GiMeSpace  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+7)

Noah Body, yes tried that. Program runs but does not install any folders

Reply   |   Comment by Stephen Moratti  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

GiMeSpace, no folders or program were installed so nothing to unlock. Any one else had this problem?

Reply   |   Comment by Stephen Moratti  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Stephen Moratti, only other ideas are that it may be a corrupt download (download again) or perhaps try it on a different computer if you have access to one, just to see if it's the software or the hardware.

Good luck!

Stephen Moratti, Sorry to hear that it is not working for you. Never heard of such a problem before. Did you try downloading the program from the gimespace website instead?

Reply   |   Comment by GiMeSpace  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-2)

Stephen Moratti, I tested the trial from the maker and noted it worked.

Stephen Moratti, I'm having the same problem. Setup claims to have installed but it didn't. I disabled my antivirus (Avast). I tried run as admin. No luck. So I emailed them with my serial number and am waiting for a reply.
