Turn your temporary folder into a RAM folder. It is like you have a local RAM disk mounted in your Temporary folder. This greatly improves the access speed of your files in your temporary folder while it avoids the needless disk access to read and write these files since most temporary files are deleted after a while anyway.
This program is optimized to also run on systems with little memory, it will never use more than 128mb of RAM which it enough for typical daily computer use.

I find it difficult to find a reason to use a program like this when most computers have a decent amount of RAM, and RAM upgrades can be reasonably priced. Using part of your hard drive (even an SSD) will never equal the speed of your dedicated, onboard RAM. Additionally, SSDs, especially an NV-ME, is plenty fast enough to load and or swap programs out.

JC, Still in some scenarios when programs go heavy on disk access, programs like RAM folder or Ram disks can give a huge boost.

JC, this lite edition is practically pointless installing it won't even prevent an average setup installer from over flowing its 128MByte read/no write through cache... speed of access to %TEMP% folder is immaterial in 99.9% of cases especially with such a tiny space allocation. The ONLY reason I can see for these types of modified caches is to prevent writes to folders of normally non-important data that the end user will not need like the folder tree that holds the event logs as well as the various TEMP folders.

I like the concept of this program and installed it from a previous giveaway. I had it installed for quite some time. I started having issues where I could not download and install Chrome browser extensions. Furthermore extensions, especially those that use the browser based data storage started getting corrupted and could not be repaired. This occurred in Chrome, Brave, Vivaldi and Edge. It drove me nuts, I probably spent 15 hours trying to figure out what was causing the problem. I finally found a post online from another user that had similar issues and they said uninstalling the RAM folder software resolved their issue. So I uninstalled it and was able to install extensions in each of the mentioned browsers again and haven't any them get corrupted since. Logically, I don't understand why this program would cause such an issue, but removing it resolved all the issues. If the author has any insight, I'd be interested.
Feel free to try it. If you run into the same issue, at least you'll know what to try. I tried doing a quick search to include the link to original but couldn't find it again in the amount of time I was willing to spend.

Klemm, Yes some browsers use background processes to manage extensions, these background processes are avoiding hooking which makes them not seeing the files in RAM folders. The Pro version has an extra tool that allows injecting the needed dll in the processes. But the current lite version doesn't have this. Sorry about that.
