AI-powered media toolkit for video/image. Enhance, upscale, convert, compress.

Turn your temporary folder into a RAM folder. It is like you have a local RAM disk mounted in your Temporary folder. This greatly improves the access speed of your files in your temporary folder while it avoids the needless disk access to read and write these files since most temporary files are deleted after a while anyway.

This program is optimized to also run on systems with little memory, it will never use more than 128mb of RAM which it enough for typical daily computer use.

It seems that GiMeSpace RAM Folder default setting has caused the error "The parameter is incorrect" when opening any programs (shortcut of installed programs or .exe file) in Windows 7 Professional. I have tried to press "Exit program" from RAM Folder and the error is no more.

Dear, after installing and activating the GiMeSpace RAM Temp Folder 1.2.3 program, it was not possible to continue working because I kept getting some exceptions, and it was even impossible to start the task manager. After uninstalling the application in administrator mode, I brought the PC back to normal. Windows 10-x32.

I DLed this and installed it. Immediately, any new Firefox tabs refused to open. I closed the app, tabs opened normally. I started it, tabs wouldn't load again. Apparently it has trouble working alongside other programs, as it indicates on its FAQ. I'll get a new computer before I stop using WinAmp.

Windows has lots of temp folders. Does this program only convert c:\windows\temp or c:\temp to RAM or does it identify and move other temp folders? Thanks!

Is this software aimed mainly at computers with conventional hard drives - or put differently - is it also beneficial to use the GiMeSpace s/w on devices that run on SSD drives?

JingleBob, You could just look at: https://gimespace.com/products/ram-folder.html
for the answer. . . But the answer is for SSD too.

JingleBob, RE: conventional hdd vs. SSD... RAM is faster than either type of drive, though there's a bigger difference in performance if Windows [& in this case your temp folder] is running off a conventional drive. As far as SSDs go, you'll get more of a boost using a RAM drive with a slower SSD vs. the latest/greatest PCIe 5 NVMe drive.
