Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise.
GiMeSpace Desktop Extender 1D 1.4.6 was available as a giveaway on June 14, 2026!
You need more desktop space but don't have the possibility to add more monitors? This is the perfect program for you. When you push your mouse cursor to the left or right border of your screen you will see that your windows simply scroll to the opposite direction creating more space for having many windows open next to each other.
There is an auto arrange option that automatically orders all you windows nicely next to each other and you can limit the virtual desktop space to the space that is used by your open windows so you don't get lost. Also you can open the overview display so you can see your whole extended virtual desktop. If you have specific tools on your desktop that you don't want to scroll then you can exclude them from the scrolling windows list.

This is the deluxe version of the Desktop Extenders. Like in the standard edition you can scroll left-right, up-down. But now you can also zoom in and out seamless. So you can navigate your desktop in 3 dimensions!
This is the standard edition of the virtual desktop manager. When you move your mouse to the edge of your screen you will notice that your desktop extends beyond the borders of your normal desktop. It provides a cheap alternative for adding more monitors to your computer.
The Pro version allows you also to share your windows on the connected computers. A simple hotkey moves your active program window to the screen of the other computer. Up to 3 computers can be connected and also you can share much higher amounts of clipboard data.
This program was created to make playing music on a computer more intuitive and affordable for anyone who wants to make music. It offers the most natural way to make music by simply using your touch screen or your hand in front of the web cam. If you don’t have these you can also use your mouse.
This program makes it possible to assign folders that will only store files in the RAM memory instead of on your disk as well as providing a safe write caching for file writes. So it combines the best of both RAM disk and disk caching programs but with minimal overhead making this program even faster than those programs.

Thanks for the lifetime license and easy activation with serial number in the readme file!
I often thought about trying this item, but wondered what advantage it had over plain old "alt+tab" and this was a great way to find out!
Pros: Great concept. Many of us can't use 2 monitors for many reasons!
Cons: It's awkward. Scrolling is slow and I did assume that if I scrolled past the edge all I'd have to do is click in the window that appears to bring it into focus, like when "alt+tab" shows thumbnails you can click on if many windows are open.
I hate to let the cons outnumber the pros, but after testing I decided I liked alt+tab better because it is faster for my workflow and went to close the program, but it popped up a warning that I should close all programs first. BUT I WAS WORKING!! Just testing this on a break. It seriously can't "restack" the windows before closing? That would be an incredible upgrade to the software because closing all open programs is a LOT to ask of an Artist.
Now I don't know what I should do about closing it. I strongly suggest making that fix in your next update.
I am a big fan of other GiMeSpace software (TouchSpace Synth is one of my favorite cat toys! It can make them go nuts when played properly) so I look forward to this program getting "fixed" so it can more quickly/easily switch between screens and PLEASE don't make us jump through hoops just to close a program.
My highest hope for it was kind of dashed too when I tried a program who's interface is bigger than my preferred screen resolution. Was hoping I could use it and scroll around the bits of interface that don't fit on screen, but it seems the software crops itself based on resolution, so ... another idea for upgrade? May not be possible if the software is cropping itself, but I cannot read the interface when the screen has that high resolution so hoped I could scroll around it.
Thanks again for letting us try this out as a giveaway!

David Jaynes, It is only recommended to close all programs, it is not strictly needed but it will put all your program windows that are still running at screen coordinate 0,0 so they don't get lost outside of your screen.
The 2D and 3D versions do support windows bigger than your physical screen. You can try them both with aa 30 day trial each. And they are on discount this week...

GiMeSpace, thanks for the reply and the information! That warning did scare me and I hope you'll rephrase it so others do not fear closing the program. That was a bit of a shock, to say the least.
If I ever get a job again I'll consider the 3D version for the oversized window capability. You don't take payment in old comic books, do you?

David Jaynes, Thanks for the feedback, sorry I am not really interested in old comic books ;-)
