Has anybody needed support for anything they got from IncrediMail or IncrediGame?
I am going in circles and I'm NOT happy!
Last year, because of the rotten economy, IncrediMail offered two games for absolutely free. One was in the spring and the other was later in the year. I believe the second one is still available. The first, "Dream Day Wedding" is no longer available from IncrediMail/IncrediGame at all.
A few weeks ago, I noticed that "Dream Day Wedding" suddenly started to request the UAC OK every time I played the game. The yellow-topped window pops up as soon as you start the game, before the IncrediGame splash screen shows up.
I spent a week with emails to IncrediMail with them suggesting several things (all related to IncrediMail rather than the games) before they finally got it through their heads that it was NOT IncrediMail that was the problem. Then they said they don't support the games and passed the buck to Oberon (who makes the game). Why did it take a week to read my messages enough to know what product was having a problem?
Then I started all over again with the support with Oberon on the problem.
One of the things they said to try was to turn ON the Administrator mode. HUH? I'm trying to stop the prompt. All that will do will be to guarantee that I GET the prompt!
Then they told me that it's not their problem! Their game is doing something that causes the system to think it's accessing something that needs approval. That prompt does not come up on it's own. They say it's the OS, not their game because it's a Window's message. Come on!!!!! That's about as big a cop-out as I've ever heard.
I have send an email to Oberon Corporate (I found a Contact Us on the MAIN - not game - site). Let's see if I have any better luck.
What I want to know is if anybody has had GOOD luck with their support. Is my experience "normal"? Is my experience "unusual"? That's what I want to know!
