Campy, I downloaded your suggested program and used the customized setting to indicate which program I wanted to use to extract the SS files. I used the browse function to get to the exe file and clicked on it but nothing happened. What did I do wrong? Thanks for all your help.

Terri218 When you use 7zip use the fourth option which should unzip the files to a folder with the same name of the file. Something like extract to " Midnight Mysteries\".
Open that folder and click on setup file which should be an exe or com file.

Just want to let everybody know that there is a steam key and a pc download for every game available in this bundle. I appreciate it more now when the Desura games also have a pc download due to inability to log on Desura Client lately.
Also,lately, The Humble Bundles have had 1 or 2 codes for all the games instead of individual codes so I don't know how or if it affects duplicate trading or gifting because lately the bundle is from the same company. (The Games)

@Terri: as goo goo says, you can install on Steam, but you are almost there on using the download file. It sounds like you have installed 7-zip. After doing so, just right click on the SamanthaSmith2.rar file and instead of opening the file choose >7-Zip>Extract files here or if you want to select where the files are extracted choose >7-Zip>Extract Files. Those choices cause all of the files in the .rar file to be extracted to the chosen location and a folder is created there with the following ridiculous name: SamanthaSwift2_Beta_SC05_04052009_nodebug. Inside the folder is a the file it sounds like you tried to use before, SamanthaSwiftAndTheGoldenTouch.exe. Now that you extracted all of the files you can double click on the .exe file and the program should run.
You can leave the folder name or change it. It doesn't make any difference. I renamed mine to simply Samantha Swift 2. The folder name doesn't make any difference, but if you make a shortcut to the program, do it after you rename the folder so the shortcut knows where to find the program.
So basically, you just needed to extract the .rar file before trying to run the program. This is like unzipping a .zip file and then running what was in it.
