Hi everyone,
A few years back I came across a great free music studio editor (can’t remember the name) identical to Cake Walk Music Creator with the ability to record/mix up to more then 64 tracks with effects, filters, and mixer. It also included (if I remember right) a virtual guitar where as CakeWalk came with a virtual midi keyboard. Unfortunately the program that I’m looking for was on a computer along with a bookmark to their web site that had a SATA drive and the motherboard died out on me. At the moment I stuck using an older computer that uses IDE drives so swapping HDs is not an option right now.
I’m not sure if I got the program here in the GAOTD forum area or on google or even possibly Kim Komondo’s web site. I tried doing a search on all 3 sites but to no avail find it. I’m kicking myself in the butt because I’m the type that always backs up free software on a CD/DVD disc, but must have forgotten or lost this one. It has to be able to record and mix together multiple tracks not just cut/paste or just add effects like AudioQuick Editor that was just offered the other on the GAOTD front page.
If anyone knows about the one I’m talking about or knows of a similar one like CakeWalk it would sure be appreciated.
Thanks for any help……. Jerry (a.k.a. Messenger)

Hi BuBBy,
Thanks for the links. The first links you posted were close but not what I was looking for, though I could use those for a future project I have in mind. So those links will not go to waste.
The other link in you 2nd post (Reaper) hit the nail on the head and is the one I was looking for. I just couldn't remember the name and after seeing the name I knew that was it before the web page loaded on my browser. Man I really appreciate the help. At 54 the mind seems to forget too much LOL.
Again BuBBy you have helped me in the past and wow you came through again. I don't know what this forum would do with out you.............
Again thanks....JerryPosted 13 years ago #
