I seem to see this problem fairly often around GOTD. It bugs me just a little bit to see people have problems that I don't have and I can't tell what's wrong. But here's a guess:
Chances are some antivirus software is holding on to the file that the GOTD wrapper creates to run the installer. I'm fairly sure it's not a problem with the wrapper, because it always runs fine on my system. Anyways, because arbitrary .tmp files are not supposed to be run, virus scanners will hold on to the file to scan it, potentially locking out other programs, including the GOTD wrapper. Then when the GOTD wrapper tries to start the installer, it can't because access to the .tmp file was locked out, causing the error. My suggestion is to try to temporarily disable the AV software and try again.
If that doesn't work, I'll try thinking of something else.
