Now, this is not a new game, but I have to say, it's interesting. I've just finished this today, and found it to be a good time waster.
Globy is this adventure/3rd person shooter game developed by a company called Xeny (never heard of them, and can't find any references to them). You are playing as Dreamy on the world of Globy, and your job is to find 24 Globy Orbs to destroy some kind of evil power.
My take on it: Something from PS1. It's love/hate for me. I love that it's easy and sorta fun, but I hate its PS1 quality graphics, confusing English, and somewhat repetitive gameplay. Think about it. You have to go 24 rounds doing pretty much the same thing. And the walls are laid out like a labyrinth, one without any curves whatsoever. That sorta drives me crazy, but I really like finding all the little chests and things they have hidden around everywhere.
Enemies: 10 types, difficulty is easy unless you're on a secret isle. They are basically floating wizards, weird mechanical looking things that shoot at you, and insects and their hive/spawner things.
Weapons: 6 different shots, the four most powerful ones are about the same strength.
Characters: Various. There's always this something that pops up when you enter a new level. He can get a bit annoying.
Minigame: A "card" game. It's basically a shoot/avoid the enemy side scroller with options.
Getting around: Walking or riding on the back of a phoenix.
Nit picking:
1. Who names their character Dreamy and makes him a prince?
2. The guy that pops up on new level loads is annoying after a while. (Half the time he's hungry.)
3. Enemies are not challenging.
4. How are you suppose to dismount the phoenix? The only way I found to get off of it is to crash into something. That's the equivalent of crashing an airplane into the ground. I must have sacrificed dozens of phoenixes that way, but they always come back.
5. Repetitive.
6. The guy jumps way too high and too far.
What I like, despite of the nits:
1. It's easy. Just hold the left mouse button and walk forward.
2. Exploring every corner is... um... fun?
3. You're playing something no one has ever heard of.
4. There are cheats (Gasp!)
5. It runs on my computer fast. Really fast.
6. All levels are preloaded, so it's just switch and go. New level loading time is around a quarter of a second.
7. Trying to go into a door without crashing the phoenix is challenging.
Well, if you like a good time waster, a 3D shooter, or just something that is fully explorable, try it. But I don't recommend buying it.

I can post some tips if anyone wants them.
