   I'd promised I would be taking a sabbatical from this place, but felt I had to post this for the other fellow gamers. The Humble Bundle contains World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, and Penumbra. All 5 games are excellent games and for the price...you can't beat it. They even split the amount between themselves, strictly to their charities of choice, or between both charities and themselves. Best of all...all 5 games are DRM free!!!

   You only need one. In fact the download links for the games seem to be the same for everyone. They are DRM Free so no serials are needed either. If you do give them away at a later date you just need to host the installers somewhere which I'm glad to do on my site for ya :)

   Thanks Wizz, I hope you're enjoying your time away from the site. I think I need another break as well. :)

   I've got all of those games already, (in fact I have Gish and Penumbra twice thanks to the Novint Falcon I bought last year which came with a package of games. All of those games apart from one have that darned DRM, so I think I'll repurchase some of them. I gave World of Goo away and am now regretting it as I have a hankering to play it again, lol.

   Wow, it only took me about 4 minutes from clicking on the above link, deciding on the amount I wanted to pay to getting the downloads via my Email. Now I've got some more games to add to my giveaways {Aquaria, Gish and Lugari - though I'm giving going to give it a rest for a few weeks to concentrate on playing some of the games I've been buying recently}

   Great deal. However, I wish I could have determined the split of $ between developers. Some of these I already had bought so I wouldn't have given any to them. And amongst the ones I didn't have, I had different levels of interest.

    Lol, just twigged on what you said above GMMan, that's a great idea. I may buy a couple more so that we can extend the giveaway competition.

    I've still got quite a few games to give away, just haven't had the time to post them up yet. :)

They wanted to donate to the Humble Indie Bundle too -- but in a unique way. They decided to donate their award-winning, cross-platform game, Samorost 2, to the bundle!     I've also noticed that they've added a md5 sum popup to each of the download links. It's a godsend for me, because my USB port never seems to send enough power to my external (Xbox 360) hard drive, so I keep on getting corrupted files when I copy the installers to it.

    (I hope they don't keep on thinking up new things for the page. I'm saving the pages for their interesting scripts and such, and I don't want to do it over and over! (because I need to modify them to make them work locally))

    Every one of those games is brilliant. To add Samorost 2 to the pot is just amazing. Looks like I'll have yet another game to give away a I've already got it via Steam. :)

    Again, I couldn't stay away. For those of you with Aquaria, I'd check out the following site:

    It seems the community is busy making mods for the games. I'd suggest the Beauty one, Sacrifice, Big Energy, and Angry Li. All 4 add a new dimension to the game, especially Sacrifice with 5 added hours of new content.

    For those of you with Gish, you can download 3 different types of extra levels:

    VS.
    Single Levels
    Campaigns

    Lugaru has it's own set of mods as well.

    Unfortunately World of Goo's Mod's aren't as nicely kept as the others. You'll have to wade through these to find the ones you want.

    I also thought I'd throw in the fact that Frictional Games (Penumbra,) on top of their goody I mentioned before, have marked their upcoming game Amnesia down 50% for preorders making it $10. Amnesia is very much in the same bane as Penumbra. Also, if the preorders reach 2000 total by the end of the month, they've promised to include extra content. With over 1700 preorders already, I think they can make it. The preorder deal is over May 11 (tomorrow,) so you'll want to hurry up and snag it up quickly.\

    Regarding World of Goo mods, you can go to http://www.goofans.com to install new levels and mods. They have an easy-to-use mod installer and enhanced leaderboard. (psst... Get World of Goo Portable; it's my program)

    Thanks for the extra info Wizz; I'd forgotten that the forums over at Chronic Logic (Gish) have loads of extra content. I tried to create some levels for the main game (there's a few modes with different game play) but found the levels editor harder than most to use so failed miserably - well not failed, just never finished. It's not impossible, but I think you require more patience than I have to create new levels. (The help me for the editor needs rewriting). Thanks also for the heads up on the Aquaria mods and the preorder deal on Amnesia. I'm always happy to extend my games with the mods that the gaming community create. The Aquaria mods sound very interesting. I bought that game originally for my daughter, but found I liked the game play as well. As for Gish, I noticed the version was newer than the one I had prior to this deal (bough from Reflexive arade) v1.43 to v1.53 so I'm glad I repurchased them.

    It was worth the $20 I paid for the lot. Especially now with Samorost included. At present day prices you'd pay over £60 (approx $90) to buy all six games.

    Hi all, I'm having problems with 2 of the games, as follows, and am wondering if any of you techhie geniuses know how I can resolve the problem (have also sent email to the Wolfire tech-support folks...) - thanks in advance for any help/advice you may offer.

    1. GISH - when trying to install game - I get error message "SDL.DLL not found."

    SDL and ILU are open-source libraries. They should be included within the game packages. Just redownload the zip files and reextract them.

    Thanks, GMMan, your advice worked well. I was incorrectly trying to run the ".exe" file from within the zip program - so, of course, this was not working. Thanks again.

    Great news, everyone! The Humble Indie Bundle has reached over $1 million in contributions, and as promised, most games (which excludes World of Goo :-( )will have their source code released! It's still possible to donate even though the sale is over. EDIT: I was using Lynx, so I didn't see the counter, but there is still four more days you can get the bundle for whatever you want to pay. Woot!

    (Great move. The modding community will be happy.)

    The Humble bundle ended on the 15th May.

    If you need to access the downloads again you'll need to get a key reissued that gives you access the the downloads page. You can find a link on the page linked to by Wizzards post above. :) Happy gaming folks.
