So other than Sandlot, are there any other places with a weekly/daily giveaway that don't make you download some lame installer or click through like BigFish or Gamehouse? I don't mind the Sandlot graphics at the beginning but the gamehouse and bigfish annoy me.
Sites like Sandlot Games

PlainVanilla,
For BigFish and Sandlot, you can avoid the graphics coming and going by making your own bookmark of the correct program. However, you do have to be able to see hidden files to do it in both cases.
I have not been able to figure out how to avoid that extra graphic for Alawar games. the Gamehouse and Real games I have don't have the extra garbage so I cannot comment on them.

I have both gamehouse and bigfishgames. I think Sandlotgames is the only one who do their weekly game giveaway without advertisements. Though in the world of free I don't think you can be too picky.

If you bought those Sandlot games those same graphics would be there. If you don't like to install games you can play free online games on Bigfishgames and Gamehouse too.

unfortunately Sandlot are the only ones that do free games without a games manager, however alawars monthly game which initially requires the game box can then be played independantly but you will have to create a desktop shortcut manually. I'm sure this can also be done with the free games you can get from big fish.
The only other place's I know off that give free games without advertisements is gametop games and Freegamepick. you'll find around 100 free games available all the time from Gametop.com, though you do get your browser opening when you close the game down. you also have to watch when you install the games otherwise you'll end up with tool bars and your home page changed (you can uncheck them during installation). MyPlaycity also give some games away, but most require the toolbars and home page change to work, (but not all).

Gamehouse has a games manager? Isn't their games manager in beta and users choice only? I know they did on realarcade, but I don't think there is one on gamehouse.

I don't count Gamehouse as free because of the advertising (though technically you are getting them for free). Personally I wont touch them with a barge pole, lol.

I downloaded some already and they weren't too bad, but since I took the computer back to factory settings I only have one game installed in over the 100 I have. I had two Farm Frenzy American Pie and the Ice Age one. I bet the American Pie one so I took it off. My control panel uninstall wouldn't load with all the games I had on there. I was thinking of cleaning up my computer the other week and it wouldn't load. So I have to watch since I restored the computer.

Easiest way to remove GH/RA games, they are both in the same place
I agree, Add or Remove Programs is a little sluggish, and all it really does is execute the uninstallers stored here:
C:\Program Files\RealArcade\Installer\uninstallYou can get there from:
My Computer
Open C:/
Open Program Files
Open RealArcade
Open Installer
Open uninstallOnce you find what you want removed, just double click on it!
Saves a lot of time!

Except for very simple uninstalls, I now use Revo Uninstaller Free. It sets a restore point and goes looking for the changes in the registry and files left behind. It does not remove automatically - it shows you and lets you do it.
I had seen it mentioned here several times and decided to give it a go. It looks like only the pro supports 64 bit systems but this works for me!
BTW - Add/Remove is called "Programs and Features" and it loads over 500 items on my machine. It's not the fastest but it's not that bad. I have well over 600 items installed either manually or built-in so I know not everybody is included. For example I have 12 Pattern Libraries for PCStitch and only 6 or 7 show up there. Even the developer has no idea what is happening on that one!

I used System Mechanic to remove a couple games that couldn't be seen in control panel because it wasn't loading, but then ie started freezing after I compacted the registry with system mechanic and Firefox also started freezing. I just did a full factory restore after that, because in a way I don't like having a lot of games installed at once and it would have taken me a long time to remove them all.
