Giveaway of the Day Forums

   I am going to reformat my harddisk and reinstall Vista. Of course I want to save the useful softwares that I downloaded from GOTD.

   Anybody know how to do that? I will be doing a clean install so everything on my harddisk will be erased.

   No, that's against the rules here, because it really violates the spirit and the letter of the law of GOTD. They're not trying to offer you software that lasts forever. Just software that lasts until you get a new computer or have to reinstall Windows. If you happened to have discovered that any of your GOTDs are portable, well.... But the vast majority aren't. Sorry.

   Yes, this is not allowed. Rule 7 of these forums states:

   Do not ask how to install/transfer/copy/backup giveaway software after the giveaway has finished. The only supported way to install giveaway software is by running the supplied setup and/or activate programs prior to the giveaway period expiring. Giveaways may be rerun periodically. If you "want it now" and like the software enough, you should show your support to the developers and purchase or register the software

   I'm closing this topic. As said some programs MAY be able to be saved if you know what your doing but we are not supporting that here. The point of GiveawayoftheDay is for software vendors to get their product noticed by the public in hopes of getting future people to buy their software. So either wait for your favorite software to be offered again or go ahead and buy it if you liked it enough.
