   The Android version of the remake of Carmageddon can be had for free on Friday 10th May. Just visit the developers web site and claim the game.

   Unfortunately the PC version hasn't been released yet. I backed it on Kickstarter last year and have been waiting for it for what seems like ages. All I've read so far is their commitment to the android version and not the PC version, so I'm not pleased. That said. If you have an android phone and fancy this game, go get it Friday. It won't be free on Saturaday onwards.

   Though I'm not WR I dare to answer.
   We cannot transfer anything.
   You could copy there and paste here and we'll delete the duplicates.
   It's advisable to do this during the first 59 min. after you posted it, otherwise you could come into the hazard zone of the spam shredder again.
   Each time something is deleted or spammed the writer will be deleted too.
   It seems the new filters are such cruel. But that's nothing I or WR or BuBBy can change.
   Normally I save your deleted posts, but there is no guaranty that I see the mistake in time.

   Carmageddon Android game available for free in the Google Play Store, today only (video)

   he Carmageddon Android game is now available in the Google Play Store, with a full promo version available for free in the first 24 hours.

   Developer Stainless Games has decided to make the game (which got delayed last year) available for free in the first 24 hours, in order to thank the backers of its successful Kickstarter campaign, designed to fund the next PC title in the series, Carmageddon: Reincarnation.

   After the first 24 hours, the promo version will be taken off the Google Play Store, and you’ll be able to buy the game for $1.99. The fact that the promo version will be removed from the Google Play Store means that you won’t get any updates for it, as the Google Play Store policies don’t allow for an app to become paid after it has been offered for free.

   The developers say on their website that, while it is unlikely for you to have problems with it, you can always get the paid version or the free demo after the promo version is removed.

   While that’s your decision to make, the game itself (which is basically a port of the original Carmageddon game, released in 1997), offers just as much violent fun as it used to. The control system works pretty well on a touchscreen, the graphics look quite good (well, they haven’t changed much, or at all, for that matter), and running down innocent pedestrians and animals in your quest to send your opponents to the junkyard is as much fun as it always was.

   36 levels of madness and 28 opponents are a great way to spend your time, especially with the week-end around the corner, so the only thing you’ll probably miss is a multiplayer mode (there are games that have cross-platform multiplayer). Hopefully, that will be coming, too, if not in an update for this game, probably in the Android version of Carmageddon: Reincarnation.

   And if you still haven’t made up your mind about downloading this violent classic (like that’s even possible), you can watch the trailer below to get an idea on what to expect from it.

YES that's RIGHT, the one that you've all been waiting for (well, apart from the other one you've all been waiting for, er-hem) is here at last. And as promised, the full version of the game will be FREE for the entire DAY! FOR 24 hours only, you can bag yourself the most fun you can have with just your thumbs for NOTHING. NADA. ZILCH. SQUAT. SWEET Fing A. WOO!

   And to make FREEDAY FRIDAY complete, we’re also offering the iOS VERSION of CARMAGEDDON FREE TOO! Yes, hop on over to the App Store, and you’ll be able to bag a FREE iOS Carma too. WOO!! Could a Friday get any more FANTASTIC?

   There has also been some discussion as to how we will be handling making the Android version free for the first 24 hours. This will be dealt with in the following way (resulting in 3 versions of the App being available):

   Carmageddon PROMO – The FULL game for FREE (only available May 10th for 24hrs)
   Carmageddon – Full game
   Carmageddon FREE – Demo version of the game

   After the first 24 hours of its release, the PROMO version of the game will be removed from Google Play and will no longer be available. Subsequently, the PROMO version will be unsupported because we have no way to update the title once it's taken down.

   This isn't how we would have wanted to do this but it's the only choice. It's not possible to change an app from free to paid on Google Play. So, in the unlikely event that players experience problems with the PROMO version, the solution will be to either download the FREE (demo version) version, or "upgrade" to the FULL paid version. This will only cost you £1.49 and for that, you'll be getting the full benefit of support and updates for the lifetime of the game. So c'mon now everybody, that's GOT to be more than a fair deal!

   Please note: We're offering the Android version of the game at a lower price (once the paid version kicks in) than the iOS version, due to it having slightly less extended features compared to iOS. Unfortunately it isn't possible to do Action Replay Saving to YouTube on Android devices, and nor could we implement Cloud Saving or Achievements. But apart from these minor omissions, it's the same little package of AWESOME that is out there now for those iThings. So go forth, download, and get SMASHING.

   Once again, we'd like to thank you all for your support and your patience while waiting for this port of the greatest little ped massacring mayhem generator to make it onto your ANDROID THINGS. We really hope you love it in all its miniature moo-moo mangling beauty, as much as we do!

   I'm afraid it isn't possible to delete even an empty thread. When I delete it, you will be blocked again - so I leave the empty thread visible.
   I think when the writer deletes his own text during the first 59 min., she/he is able to delete even the topic - not sure though.

   bluestacks post on this foruum

   One might want to try Bluestacks to run carmageddon on the computer. I have bluestacks installed on a win 8 computer and one win 7. For some reason, it won't install on my main win 7 computer but I tried to update an older version of bluestacks with the latest version. Carmegeddon promo installed on both computers but probably due to networking congestion, it goes thru the motions but nothing happens. I tried to install it on my android phone but it hangs on waiting for network. My other android apps are working on bluestacks. There are other programs similar to bluestacks so just google.Below will be a current link to bluestacks.

   I'll wait until its released on PC. I'm just annoyed because they didn't make it clear on Kickstarter (at least at the time I backed them), that they would be concentrating most of their efforts on the android version first. I got the distinct impression that it was a secondary goal and that the PC version was the most important; yet, since July last year, when it won its Kickstarter campaign, all i've heard is android, android android..... :)

   I can wait. it's not like I don't have many games to play. I'm still playing games I purchased over a year ago (and years ago).
