We had at least a couple of giveaways from this developer, Gilisoft, back in the summer of 2010, though one was under the Wondershare label -- USB Drive Encryption & USB Stick Encryption... there may have been others but those 2 are what springs to mind. The reason for this post is that idoo Secure Disc Creator installs a driver for mounting ISO disc images, virtual drive or drive emulation software [whatever you prefer to call it] is prone to cause some people problems depending on what other software's installed or running, & the driver GiliSoft uses might be a bit old...
Installation adds a couple of Pharos-Studio\Hephaestus registry keys, & using Google I came up with this page http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fdown.tech.sina.com.cn%2Fcontent%2F5686.html
As you can see the free drive emulator goes back to 12/05 -- I couldn't find anything more recent, & because that's before the very popular win7 64, that bothers me a little bit. GiliSoft may well have done a lot of further work on the driver, or not, but IMHO it does rate a bit of caution. While it's no guarantee that no one will have problems, I did delete the driver file, GSVDRIVE.sys, in both XP & win7 64 bit VMs, & Windows restarted just fine, so if anyone does have problems that *might* be a way to determine if GSVDRIVE.sys is at fault & fix it at the same time. Both 32 & 64 bit versions of the driver + an .inf file are left behind in the Temp folder, so it should be fairly easy to re-install the driver if you deleted it & later want it back.
