Ok, so for the past few days, I have had been having major internet problems, and I am not able to solve them. I am connected to a very strong wireless (my roommate doesn't have problems), and every time I connect to the internet, I get, at MOST, 2 maybe 3 minutes before the connection moves to "identifying...", and stays there, until I disconnect it, and reconnect. I've tried every suggestion Windows has given me, looked at my Network processes (And terminated them all at one point or another), and restarted the computer. I have no idea what is causing this. During my writing of this article, for example I have had to reset my network 2 times....and once more for the posting of it.

Well maybe your both trying to connect to a network on a modem that isn't bridged. I had to bridge my modem before attaching it to my wireless router. If it isn't bridged then it may still only be set to only work for one user at a time. Your roommate may be stealing the only signal before you get a chance to connect. Try this. Try connecting by yourself with no one else on the network. If you still hae problems then your modem and router are fine and it's something solely on your computer.
EDIT: Also I've had problems connecting before during alot of rain. Idk maybe it's just a coincidence or maybe signals do interfere with moisture in the air but I have had slow or limited connection during bad weather. Just saying lol

Its a school connection, with no modem, it is all hosted by the school, and so getting everybody (2,000+ users) would be quite difficult. I thought it was the rain, but nobody else in my dorm has any problems.

Hmm...well it seems to be some isolated problem on your computer. Do you have a laptop with a built-in WIFI adapter or an external one you attached via USB. Either way it could be something wrong with that. Try updating to the lastest driver for your adapter and if that doesn't work maybe it is acting up. Not much to say here. If it acts up regulary then I would take it to a computer repair shop if its the built in adapter. If its an external one then you could buy a new and better one and see if it works then. Even if you have the built-in one you may be able to buy an external one as well and switch to use that one somehow. But if this just happens once in a while then your best bet would be to put up with it. Good luck!

There's not much I can add to what Chip has said; however, have you tried connecting your computer to the modem with an ethernet cable? This will tell you whether your wireless card is faulty. Wireless cards rarely get operating problems/ physical faults. {You computer is more likely to become obsolete before your wirless card}; but, on the offchance that it is your wireless card that is at fault, see if your schools computer department has an ethernet connector that you can borrow, (you may already have one). I'm presuming each room has ethernet sockets to connect to the schools network?
The above is similar to what Chip is saying (on re-reading Chips fixes).
If you have the software that usually comes with a wireless card, or your motherboard software, it may be a good idea to reinstall those; then follow Chips advice on updating all the drivers. Also if you have the software that comes with a wireless router, it can test your connection and find any problems that you may have. Check out Belkins home page, you may be able to get free software for checking the connection viability.
Or better still find out what the manufacturers name of your wireless card and/or Motherboard is (if the wireless card/ethernet connector comes from an onboard chip), then Google for their home page.
When I've had problems with my internet connection, the above have usually cured the problem.
Please note, that when reinstalling wireless software you usually need to remove the wireless card first; so please do disconnect your computer from the mains first if you have to do this. Also (if you're going to remove the card), try to touch some thing metal like a central heating pipe as that will discharge any static your body may have stored up - static electricity can damage components on your computer

Hello thenameipicked,
Since your problem started a few days ago you might want to try a simple system restore before getting all hot and heavy tearing into your pc. But whatever to decide to do, write down every step you take because something you do today, could easily come back to haunt you tomorrow. It also helps to ward off that feeling you get after spending many hours trying this, then discovering all you had to do was that...lol Good Hunting!
