Hello. Reezaa MP3 converter, from April 9th - installed and activated fine. HOWEVER, it UNREGISTERED itself the day after. So now it's no longer registered, and only converts 50% of the files. I see others have the same problem (last few comments of April9).
Vista, installed as administrator, etc, as I said it WAS REGISTERED on the day of the giveaway, but it unregistered itself after that day.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks...

Having read your messages, I just checked my installed copy of Reezaa MP3 converter and it now also informs me that it is unregistered.
Just to elaborate, in the title bar of the program window it shows:
MP3 converter (unregistered).
Hopefully the GotD team can re-run this giveaway soon, obviously with a more permanent licence this time.
Yeah, I'm having the same problem too. Just found out Reezaa MP3 Converter is unregistered. Wonder what might have caused it?
Guess I've to uninstall it coz it is of no use for me if it will only convert 50%. I know it's not the end of the world, just that I felt cheated. This is NOT the way a ‘giveawayoftheday’ is supposed to work?

I remember a year or two ago - there was a "misunderstanding" - the developer provided a license code which unlocked the software for ONLY 24 hours - because that is how they thought Giveawayoftheday worked - that GOTD wanted to offer software that would only work for 24 hours.
I always doubted their explanation - because their "evaluation" version that was freely available from their website all the time, allowed the software to work for 14 days - so how the developer wouldn't think it was odd someone wanted to run a promotion that offered something that was about 7% as good as the "always available" offer just made no sense.
Still people do make mistakes - perhaps this was a innocent error, and sometime over the near future it will be re-run with an updated version/offer that never expires.
We can only hope.

I think as it does not require a serial number (the registerd website version does) that an error has been made in the compile.
This software was offered firstly here as version 1 less than 1 year ago if my memory serves and some of us made heaps of suggestions on the features, so we were like βeta testers.
I think it's an oversight as as the developer is paid for a fully functioning no upgrades or support licence I expect we will get that soon.

Meanwhile I figured out that Advanced Audio Recorder un-registers Reezaa and Cool Record Edit Pro. Is there a way to get Reezaa back?? It can be reproduced with Cool Record Edit Pro because it comes with a serial number. As soon as Advanced Audio Recorder is used Cool Edit Pro is unregistered, but can be activated later with the serial number. Reezaa unfortunately did not came with a serial number.
Multiple users where complaining about Advanced Audio Recorder destroying other GOTD software.
I hope GOTD gives us a fix for Reezaa soon.
I've had discussions with GOTD in the past - and some giveaways have 'fallen through' because the developer has wanted too much ($$??) for the giveaway to go ahead - and GOTD hasn't been able to proceed. Also GOTD does mention elsewhere that they pay for the giveaways.
Perhaps some are offered free - I can't imagine there are riches to be made simply from ad revenue.
Obviously the very visible exposure and advertising is the most valuable thing for any developer - as well as product feedback and of course potential sales, blog reviews and interest in other products offered by the developer.

That is exactly what I thought is the reason why developer's giveaway of their products; I did not think they were actually being paid =). Guess you learn something new everyday. However this brings up the question why such crappy software is often given out if GOTD pays the developer. Raise your standards GOTD =D.

Well, I've re-installed it and it seems to register fine again. The question is though; will it STAY registered? We'll just have to wait and see in the coming days.
An easy test for any of these type of programs - set you system clock forward a month (or six) and try to run the program again.
(Note if you have any time/date sensitive programs - like software currently under evaluation - it is a good idea to close it before changing your date - as some software gets confused when you set the system backwards to the correct date after the test).
