It installs Apple's Bonjour service v. 3.0.0.10 -- the .msi setup file is stored in C:\ProgramData\ Apple\ Installer Cache\ Bonjour 3.0.0.10\. You can download & install v. 3.1.0.1 which *I think* fixes a vulnerability, though I could not find a changelog. There might be a newer version yet, but I did not find it available on download sites -- Windows users often just download & install the latest iTunes, which includes the Bonjour service. Also included is a virtual audio device driver, though I did not see it installed monitoring the registry for changes -- akvad.sys & AKAudioService.exe. I didn't have any luck Googling on either filename, and only found a generic listing of the dev, iHappy in Singapore.
The biggest hassle installing the giveaway is that the emails with the key are apparently blocked by the outlook dot com email service, and requesting another key requires using a VPN since your IP address is recorded & you only get one try per IP address. You get program folders for Bonjour & Vidmore in Program Files (x86) and in ProgramData. There's also a new Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Local\ Vidmore\ folder, and in the \Vidmore Screen Recorder\ download\ folder you'll find another setup file taking up ~98MB. Vidmore Screen Recorder itself only adds a few registry keys -- mainly for the app & uninstall -- but the Bonjour service much more than makes up for that, hitting the registry fairly hard. Bonjour itself is supposed to help finding network media resources, can be uninstalled & the Vimore app appears to still work, though I haven't done any testing yet to see what features are impacted.
