I've done a couple of Win10 VMs so far, one of which had an alleged additional patch from Microsoft applied to fix ESU, and when I went to the Windows Update Page in Settings, Windows was looking for updates. They then started downloading 4 updates, and once those were installed, after the restart, the banner stating end of support was gone, and everything looked back to normal. I've also seen reports of additional updates if you were not able to enroll in ESU, KB5071959. November's Win10 update, KB5068781 is also available via the Microsoft download catalog site if you want or need to go that route.
In addition to the security fixes, Microsoft *says* it is pushing out the enablement update to switch more PCs from 24H2 to 25H2, fixed the Task Mgr. bug from last month's optional update, and will slowly roll out additional changes like the new Start Menu.
Today is Microsoft's November 2025 Patch Tuesday, which includes security updates for 63 flaws, including one actively exploited zero-day vulnerability. This Patch Tuesday also addresses four "Critical" vulnerabilities, two of which are remote code execution vulnerabilities, one is an elevation of privileges, and the fourth is an information disclosure flaw.
The number of bugs in each vulnerability category is listed below:
29 Elevation of Privilege Vulnerabilities
2 Security Feature Bypass Vulnerabilities
16 Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities
11 Information Disclosure Vulnerabilities
3 Denial of Service Vulnerabilities
2 Spoofing Vulnerabilities
