I recall an email from Google saying that due to the LinkedIn breach Gmail users were under increased threat from [cyber criminal] phishing campaigns. I didn't pay any attention to it & promptly deleted it, so I've no idea if it was genuine or a scam. Apparently some sites featured [clickbait?] headlines about a major Gmail breach, something Google Strongly denies.
