I'm the wrong person to ask if it works or how well, but I did monitor its installation since apparently if an earlier version of the app was installed, activating today's GOTD uses that older start date, and expires about a year from that date.
When you install MobiKin Backup Manager for Android 1.4.14 it adds the program's folder in Program Files (x86), plus a Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Roaming\ MobiKin\ folder. It only uses Windows Registry for a new uninstall key at: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Uninstall\ MobiKin Backup Manager for Android]. Assuming your prior version made the same changes, removing the 2 folders, and *maybe* the registry key for uninstalling that earlier version, should prevent MobiKin Backup Manager for Android from detecting that it was installed at that earlier date, starting fresh today. [It probably isn't because of the registry key, but ya never know.]
