Google's been working on adding this to Chrome for 2 years, and helped develop the tech Apple uses. *maybe* [pretty please] they'll release something this fall when the new Apple OSes go live. If enough people scream at them Microsoft might even notice, and add the capability to Windows.
The way it works is that sites that use Fastly and Cloudflare [so far - more services may be added] will ask your device if you're human, and if it replies Yes, no CAPTCHAS needed / shown. I *think* it'll probably work along the lines of the ways Microsoft asks you to prove you're you when you sign into your Microsoft account, maybe combined with some other behavioral metrics. Once that's done Apple gives your device a token that's used when a Cloudflare site for example asks.
