Exiland Backup Standard is a 32-bit file backup app, which basically copies select files from one place to another -- a disk / partition image backup app copies the raw data from the drive, basically cloning it to an archive rather than physical media, & so is suitable for recovery from disk failures etc. While Win10 provides a few ways that may be easier to accomplish the same goal as using Exiland Backup Standard, they're tied to that copy of Win10. Exiland Backup Standard OTOH is mostly portable, which might come in handy for some people who work from more than one PC/laptop. Mostly portable in this case means that when you first run the app a "WorkingFolder" folder is added to the program's folder [C:\ Exiland Backup Standard\ by default], and that contains a file with the configuration of your backups. If you're using it portably, you *might* want to delete that folder before starting a backup on a different device. I have a C:\ Temp\ folder in all my copies of Windows, including the VMs, & running Exiland Backup Standard also added an Exiland Backup folder there. And in my Win7 32-bit VM, Exiland Backup added an empty Working Folder folder to Windows\ Ststem32\ -- in my 64-bit VMs that empty folder was added to Windows\ SysWOW64\. Aside from uninstall & a few keys allowing traffic through Windows firewall, installing Exiland Backup leaves the registry alone.
