We're seeing more & more photo [and video] software trying to use AI [Artificial Intelligence], because AI can *look* at an image, ideally figure out what it's looking at, and *know* what that image is supposed to look like. That's a big deal because otherwise software treats every pixel the same, so the subject(s) in your photo can easily become distorted, less clear and/or sharp during editing, and it takes some effort to only effect the part(s) of your photo that you want to work with.
Leawo PhotoIns Pro enhances your photos to make them look better, without any work on your part -- the things you can set or control are to turn auto lens adjust, face enhance, and enlarge eyes on/off; if you want to change the file names of the photos it outputs; the image dimensions; low, medium, or high quality; and where you want to save your output. It does work, though the effects are generally subtle -- don't look for it to fix photos that really need work, and it doesn't/can't come close to pro editing. The abilities to work with RAW files and apply camera-specific lens corrections are a nice touch. As noted in one of the GOTD comments, the closest software comparison might be to Photolemur, a [now free I think] photo enhancing app that offers a bit more control, but balancing that, takes a little more work on your part making settings. In the past I scanned hundreds of old photos, and while I didn't want to spend time editing every single one, I felt it was well worth it to run them through Photolemur -- in that kind of situation I could well see using Leawo PhotoIns Pro instead.
One of the GOTD comments was critical of Leawo PhotoIns Pro, saying it didn't really fix anything... AFAIK no AI software does ... yet. The only exception I'm aware of is PSP 2021 has AI noise reduction. Adobe has several AI plug-ins or FX *it's working* on for P/Shop. That said, Adobe has been working with AI for some time now to make some of the tools you use in P/Shop, e.g. selections, better/easier. Skylum, the company behind Photolemur, has been focusing on taking photo enhancement to the next level, suitable for pros. I use their Luminar 4 as a plug-in to make some adjustments that I think would be Extremely difficult elsewhere -- their newer Luminar AI is beyond my budget.

Leawo PhotoIns Pro is a 64-bit only app -- unlike many it won't even install in 32-bit Windows, so I couldn't do a complete monitoring of its installation. It takes up about 370MB in the program's folder, and is based on both QT & ImageMagick. Additional folders are added to ProgramData, and the c:\ Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Local & Roaming folders. I recorded 2 new registry keys for the app and uninstall.
On a final, silly note, that critical GOTD comment complained that Leawo PhotoIns Pro wouldn't fix a photo where a person was green (?)(!)... true enough I suppose, but since I've never photographed aliens, I've yet to see a photo where anyone was green, and I've seen many, many thousands. I'm not even sure how you'd go about fixing that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
