   I'm running the same version of Malwarebytes on my Win 10 machine as I ran on Win 7. For more than a month, I've been adding my game library to Win 10 (with changes).

   In the past week, I've added quite a few games (I'm only 74% done even looking at what I have). I ran Malwarebytes Free this afternoon and found problems with 7 games. Most of the games were from Toomky Games with 1 from GameTop. All were initially installed on Win 7 in mid 2014. All were scanned multiple times - and I do mean many many times - on Win 7 with no problems.

   Suddenly, these 7 games have problems but ONLY in the uninstall.exe portion. Where it's complaining in the Recycle bin, I don't know, because I've not deleted the install program. The installer isn't being complained about but the uninstaller and the registry entry for the uninstaller is flagged!

   What is going on? Why is it complaining now when it's been fine before. It's not a new version of Malwarebytes so it should treat it like it did before.

   Any idea what happened?

   Been thinking about this and haven't really gotten anywhere... Win10 may have more restrictions on writing to or accessing more folders, it can automatically apply compatibility settings that change the way an .exe works, Malwarebytes may have automatically updated some of it's files when installed in Win10, your new device may have more protections turned on vs. the old one, but those are just guesses.

   I had one case yesterday where a game just suddenly stopped and seemed to delete itself when I clicked to change the options (turn off the music) and that turned out to be "overactive" Defender. Win 10 security pulled it out from under me. All the Malwarebytes squawks are the uninstalls.

   In some cases, I just tell it to ignore it while I handle the issue separately or I might add it to Malwarebytes ignore list. I knew there was one case (one of the iWin Jewel Quest games) where Malwarebytes has always squawked about the game. In that case, I have to make it ignore 4 folders (2 main folders and 2 sub-folders) - one in the game install and the other in the game data area.

   I guess I could report these as false positives but the games are so old, it's not worth the trouble! Most of the games that are giving me issues are from around 2014 or 2015. I've not gotten earlier than that yet. I have some installs that date back to 2006 so I don't know if they're gonna work.

   Almost all the complaints were from the Appdata\local\temp folder or the recycle bin. I've got everybody loaded now (just new ones from this point) so maybe things will smooth out.
