Has anyone had any interaction with them lately? Ever since they updated their website I have not been able to log in and no one is answering my emails. I can't play the games I've bought. Does anyone know what's going on with them?
Thanks.

I can sometimes (with a double log in) get on with one ID. However, because of their policy of not being able to change email addresses and with email problems, I have 3 IDs, most of them with another from the one that works.
I'm going to email them and with this issue, try to get all three IDs to merge.
Note -- I tried to log in with both IE and Firefox and got the same double log in or bad email address with both environments.
Note -- I'm having a similar problem logging into the MySurvey site. I can do it on IE but my latest version Firefox (updated to version 47 last night) fails. It just ignores my request and goes back to the log in page.
Dragonlair, please let me know if you get a response. I suspect you won't. I even sent them a message through Twitter but didn't get any answer.
Terri,
I got an auto-response that they got my email. With the weekend, it may be Tuesday or Wednesday before I here anything. I will post what I learn (without giving out personal details, of course).
I did try something different.
I tried the "forgot password" for the 2 IDs that give me the bad email message. In both cases, they tell me that the email isn't in their records. That makes me mad. You have to DOWNLOAD most of their games. I have one or two that did let me have a local install program but that was back when they were Real Arcade.
Until I here from them, I'm going to check ALL my Gamehouse games to see if they are available from another source.
I can log in consistently with the one ID but it still takes a double log in -- log in, change screen, click for my games and log in again!
A check shows 13 of my 27 games are available on the freebie circuit, 3 more I have the actual install file for and the other 11 are in limbo. One of the 11 is the one on the ID I can use so that leaves 10 in limbo. I'm not happy!
I am getting the same message using the forget password option. I never even got an auto-response that they received my email. I did it through the Get Help screen. Did you do it another way?
I agree this makes me mad. I PAID money for these games and should be able to access them. If I can't, I feel it's fraud. I had copied the games to a flash drive but they won't open. I suspect you have to be logged in to get them to work and I can't log in. I was considering joining their annual club but not now.
I sent through their contact point and got an auto-response.
I've been doing some more research today. Of those 27 games (23 actual purchases -- 2 3 game bundles), I found 2 more that I had not installed from my copies of the receipts (word games).
So of 25 games from 3 email addresses dating back to 2005 (under RealArcade), I found 20 order numbers and purchase dates. I then logged onto the one ID they do allow. It turns out to be the first of the 3 IDs that I created. The ONE game it lists was NOT purchased under that ID but under the last ID. That was a 2009 purchase and my latest purchases were in 2010.
It looks like they tried to merge the 3 IDs and something got lost. Since I have this information and they merged the RealArcade into Gamehouse some years ago, I'm going to fight to see if I can get these games restored.
This is exactly why I don't like download only kind of sites or sites that have to call home -- you can lose what you had!
The last time I was on GameHouse was a little over a year ago when I was building the games on my laptop. All was fine then. I thank you, Terri, for posting and letting me know about this. I hope others follow through and complain (I'm sure many are). This sounds like a royal mess. Do you have any idea when this started?
I've been watching this thread, & just wanted to say a Big Thank You!
My wife's got a collection of what were originally RealArcade games, having bought their yearly passes 2 or 3 times. She went round & round with Gamehouse a few years ago, just after they bought RealArcade, & gave up on getting everything she'd bought. Maybe there is hope?
mikiem2,
After GameHouse bought RealArcade, they merged the Real games into Gamehouse. I still have an email from about 2010 that told me that instead of the 18 months limit guaranteed by Real, you have PERMANENT - no time limit - access to re-download the games. I was told flat out -- they would not be lost! Huh? It looks like they tried to merge my accounts and lost almost everything.
I also give a big round of applause to Terri218 for her thread.
I'm just hoping that they honor my records of dates and order numbers (one case, just the date, no order number). This especially true since I found out that MyPlayCity has been pruning it's library and only 6 of my GameHouse games are available on the freebie circuit!
I got my answer back from GameHouse. They did merge my 3 IDs into one. They apologized for any problems and my account did show most of my games.
They now show 21 games, not just 1 originally from another ID. There should be 26. Of the missing 5, 2 are very old and I can't even find any date/order number for them. The other three, I gave them the information and I'm hopeful that they will be back in my account. A few others that were missing the info, I should now be able to fill in!
It looks like they did some sort of update or beginning to the merger about 3 years ago. Most of the games show a date of 2013 although all purchases were 2010 or before.
It's hopeful to get everything back. Just use their contact point with full information you have. I didn't even have to give the games at my first point -- just the 3 emails!
Good Luck!
I still haven't had any response from them. I found a very old email with a phone number that I'll try calling later. Do you have a direct email address or current phone number?
I am so frustrated over this and really want to play my Mortimer Beckett games again.
Thanks.
I can't get at the current email address at this point (their mail server is down) but I don't think the email address has changed. It's support@gamehouse.com so that's the one I would try.
I've never tried calling them.
I saw your slightly newer post on my other thread that most of your games are back. I hope so. I looked and saw I have 4 Mortimer Beckett games. I got 2 from Jenkat before they changed their method and 2 from MyPlayCity and I will not guarantee that they are still there!
Good Luck!
My email server is back online -- that is the correct email address.
I'm calling now but it's outrageous how many offers you have to decline to get to a representative (if you ever get to one). It's been at least 10 offers so far and no human has come on.
I GAVE UP!
I officially hate this site and will have nothing more to do with them other than retrieving the games I already purchased.
OK I just used the email address you mentioned and got an auto-response. At least that's farther than I've gotten so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Between the list of games and the billing list (which has no game names but when you go to the details, has the game name and the download link), I'm down to just one game that's not listed anywhere and that one I have a backup for.
I don't know the site that much as for purchasing games. My last "purchase" was with free codes about 6 years ago. I just use it to download games. My spreadsheet for my games has, among other things, a column to say where the backup is (if needed) and those for GameHouse and BigFish are tagged as "down" for downloading.
I don't like to be forced to download new to install a game. There's always a chance of something like this happening. Then again, I like even less what FreeGamePick did -- if the download file was so old, it installed differently than if newer!
Dragonlair, are you able to log-in?
Terri,
I can log in. It's usually a double-log in but once I got in, I can stay in as long as I don't explicitly log off. When you log in, you start with that upper right corner. Then you click on "My Gamehouse" and you have to log in again.
They responded to my list of "missing" games. One of them was a goof that didn't get merged right. They added it. The other two names I gave them they said were no longer available and gave me codes to "replace" them.
That's where I got into real headaches. I downloaded 2 games for trial. One was an "ad-supported" rather than true trial.
The ad-supported trial (Super Collapse! Puzzle Gallery 4) worked fine so I used a code to buy it. From that point, it would ask every time to activate it and then wouldn't run! The true trial (Super Collapse! Puzzle Gallery 5) installed but then just gave a blanks screen and stopped!
I even tried another game later and it was like the true trial game -- NOTHING. I finally had a brainstorm. I tried the one I bought in Admin mode. It came up perfect -- no prompt to activate again. I backed out and then went back in (without admin mode) and it's fine! It needed ONE run in admin mode to work.
I then tried the same trick with Puzzle Gallery 5 and it also worked. In fact, it did so well that I didn't need the admin mode once I used my code to buy it.
It also worked for the other game I tried. Apparently, my Windows 7 machine needs admin mode to start a true trial from GameHouse. However, my 8.1 laptop does NOT need Admin mode at all. I have replied to GameHouse telling them that they should note that it may be needed to start a game the first time but ONLY the first time.
Really Weird but now I have 4 of the 5 Super Collapse! Puzzle Gallery games. I hope to squeeze in the 3rd one eventually. Each game has 300 levels!
Hang in there -- you should get your games back. The support is really pretty good.
Still no response but hopefully I'll hear from them today. I can't login at all. Very frustrating.
Terri,
Try a different browser. I've had some sites that won't let me log in with FF but will with IE. It's got something to do with your specific settings and options. Sometimes I have problems but a friend has none with the same site!
They also say it can be 48 hours. I'm still waiting for my response from yesterday although the first followup was much faster.
They just replied and I was able to log in. They said they accidentally deleted my account (no comment) however my Mortimer Beckett games are not showing on the account so I have to wait for another response. I hope it doesn't take until next week. I have other games under another email address but I don't want to open that can of worms right now. I don't think there was anything in there I can't live without although that was a larger account.
Terri,
They're trying to merge accounts into a single one. They merged 3 email addresses into one. Until this update, you were not able to change the email address and had to create a new one. You can now change so the need for multiple accounts is no longer there.
They missed one of my games and when I asked about it (with order number and original order date), they admitted it got skipped and it was added.
My responses have been great from them. I'm sure you'll get satisfaction.
I found them but apparently the package I purchased is no longer available. They better give me the other package to replace it.
Ironically after all this time the MB games are available via BFG. I could have bought them on the Daily Deal for $2.99 each which would have come out cheaper than buying the package I bought.
No response to my reply question yet. Looks like each question is going to take 48 hours.
It took about 24 hours for my latest message. The actual last message I sent (mainly telling them what my problem was the previous message) may not be answered.
I only seem to get answers over night!
BTW - part of the delay is they are based in Europe, obviously. There is some note about them using Central European Time.
Terri,
I got to thinking about your problem. You said you could not log in (they had deleted your ID). You also said you had another ID that had more games. Could you log into that one? Since they were merging IDs, they might have chosen that one as the "base" for you and you'll find all your games there.
No that was the first one I tried and that address wasn't recognized either. I really want my Mortimer Beckett games so that is the one I want to get fixed first, then I'll deal with the other one. One of the reasons I stopped playing Gamehouse games was because it was so hard to uninstall them. They leave too many things behind on your computer.
Now it seems the problem is that the MB package I purchased is no longer offered so I can't download it again.
They got back to me and I'm downloading all the MB games as we speak. Yay!
Terri,
Use Revo Uninstaller for uninstalling games and such -- it clears out the garbage.
Besides, I'm the time that tries to make sure I've got a BIG hard drive (1 TB). ALL my games (over 1400 with over 500 as HOGS) are installed.
Have fun with MB!
