Lately i've been having issues installing software from Giveaway Of The Day. I'm using windows 7. I run the setup program and the "Activating" screen pops up. I then get the "Successfully Activated", then the webpage that says the software was activated, but the software doesn't install. I disabled my anti-virus but still the same results. Any help would be appreciated

imin2country: here's what I've found is the 'proper' way to install a program from GotD:
1. Download the .zip file into a separate folder. I have a folder named GotD just for this purpose.
2. Unzip this .zip file so that its contents are also in the GotD folder.
3. If there's a readme file, always read it first, as it will tell you what to do, and in what order.
4. Usually the next thing is to run the 'setup' file, and you may have to right-click to 'run as administrator' depending on what version of Windows you're on. I'm also on Windows 7 and do this.
5. At the end of running 'setup' that last screen might ask if you want to run the program. Don't! Always untick (if it's ticked), 'finish' and exit 'setup.'
Note: That "Successfully Activated" window is from GotD, and is automatic, whether or not you have "successfully" activated!
6. If there is an activate.exe, run this now (again, possibly right-clicking to run as admin). Ignore the activate.gcd file, as it's part of GotD's install process.
7. Sometimes you then have to exit the program, and then run it again so that it has activated properly. Sometimes you don't ;-)
Hopefully this helps.

Since disabling the anti-virus didn't work you're going to have to boot in "safe mode with networking", install the program, and reboot normally to get it to install.
If you're running Kaspersky you can also select "Settings : General", Turn Protection Off, reboot, install the program and then turn protection back on once the program installs. The GOTD setup will not run correctly if KIS runs at boot-up.
