I have previously experienced no difficulty in downloading and registering software circulated by GOATD however over the last few weeks when required to validate for registration or in the case of todays release EdrawMax I keep receiving a message saying that failed to connect to giveawayoftheday.com. Has anyone experienced the same problems and if so how were you able to overcome them. Cheers.

These forums are filled with many dozens of posts concerning the same problem that you have had, i.e. not being able to connect with the GOTD game server. There are several conditions that can cause the problem of not being able to connect with the GOTD game server. As far as I know, the only way that you can tell which condition applies to you is through your efforts of trying to connect with the server over a period of time.
Hotdoge3 gives the circumstances behind one of the registration failures. Sometimes the server may very well be busy and you have to try several times to connect to it. I found that true in my case less than a half dozen times. Almost always when I try to register a program and get the error message that I'm unable to connect to the GOTD server game server - a busy server is not the cause of my problem.
I might mention that I'm very experienced in not being able to connect to the GOTD game server. I have spent untold hours trying to find the cause of my failures to connect to the GOTD server.
Close to a 1000 remedies have been suggested to me and I tried all of them several times each. None have ever worked. After months of failure I suddenly will start being able to connect to the server and register the GOTD daily offers. I have no idea what change in my computer caused the turnaround.
In my case when I get a failure to connect error message the message will say I am unable to connect to the GOTD game server - even when I am trying to register one of the daily offerings that is not a game. I never have a problem connecting to the GOTD server and being able to pull up a dynamic list of posts, rarely do I have a problem downloading an offer and if activation is required after the installation of a program the registration procedure goes without a hitch.
If you are sure that your registration failures are not due to find connect to a busy server that I would suggest you read some of the posts on the forum and try some of the suggestions listed therein. Your experience may be like mine - that is none of suggestions work. In this case you just have to keep trying over days, weeks, months etc. Hopefully one of the suggestions in a post will fix your problem. If that is the case, consider yourself very fortunate.

Actually it is the service that GOTD use to send out the daily email messsaes.

I suggest contacting the GOTD team via the contact form on the main page - and ask them to unpause your email address.
