   There was a comment on today's GAOTD, EASEUS Partition Manager, that after reading it made me feel ashamed of being a GAOTD community member. The commenter, #8 Webzap, used stereotypical language in a demeaning fashion against Orientals, specifically the Chinese people. This is not the first time that someone has made a racial slur. I pray that it will be the last!

   I would like to pass on my sincerest apologies to CHENGDU YIWO Tech Development Co., Ltd. for the comments made by that individual, #8 Webzap, as I believe that attitude does not represent the greater GAOTD community. Bigotry is something that the greater GAOTD community does not condone. Speaking for myself I have the utmost respect for all peoples. It is sad that some are not aware nor can appreciate the tremendous contributions to civilization as a whole by the Chinese. The western world owes much to the Chinese People.

   I'd like to ask anyone in the GAOTD community to please help by supporting my apology and offer their own on behalf, for the GAOTD Team to forward to CHENGDU YIWO Tech Development Co., Ltd.

   I seldom go to the English page these days, so I didn't read the post you mentioned.

   I don't know what's wrong w people nowadays!! I really don't ...
   It seems the more ways we have to communicate and know each other better, the less tolerant and generous people are!
   It's just so damn frustrating!!

   Hi aRenegade,

   I read that comment this morning and my jaw dropped. I can't believe that this kind of ignorance is still deemed acceptable by some people. I also wondered how it got by moderation?

   In this day and age we have all been taught (I hope) what is and what is not an acceptable way to describe people who are not from the same culture as ourselves.

   Surely at the end of the day we are all just people under the skin. I have always stressed to my children that people, no matter who they are or where they come from, are no different from us. My sons have been taught that every single person on this planet should be respected unless by their actions they prove different.

   So I would also like to apologise personally for the ignorant, demeaning and quite frankly offensive way that Webzap described all Chinese people today.

   This software was given away on GOTD, I recommend avoiding this program; but do freely whatever you want.

   Customer service is as important in this case as the software itself, and you will not get it at all with this company.

   Just check out, how this Chinese company really “helps” and lets down their customers (the polite “Chinese Way”, with a refund to avoid any further issues, if the customer requests it) in their forums:

   1. First problem (link)

   Read the last comment from the company. The customer lost 6GB of data in his hard drive, and never received any help with his problem.

   Chinese people have a very different way of thinking about the Universe (which is very interesting anyway, it is different from the Western apparently more “rational” mentality), so even if you complain and are very aggressive, with a gun, like an American “Karate Kid” (bringing destruction to the rest of the world), they will very politely and kindly manipulate your “Chi Energies” (eg. ancestral TaiChi or KungFu martial art techniques), with a very nice refund, and lead you away, bringing you back into harmony with the Universe, the way they want.

   Maybe the comment was changed or moderated somehow.. but what exactly here can be defined as bigotry?
