Same for me, voucher code doesn't work. If I proceed without entering the code then I get passed to PayPal to pay $15 so it's definitely the code that's the problem.

Purely FWIW, I'm not at all sure that you missed much.
Personally I don't look favorably on a company that can't even present a common, usable web site. It's not rocket science -- this is the 1st site I've seen in a decade [maybe more] that needed to be displayed full screen. 2nd you have a company that perhaps reached it's quota &/or had second thoughts & apparently disabled their giveaway -- or maybe their purchase page just broke, but either way it's another black mark. 3rd was the ip address BS -- personally I don't like companies recording ip or anything else because it's none of their biz, but if you feel you have to record something, use the MAC address, which is rarely spoofed AFAIK & unique to each piece of hardware.
Finally, I don't see Smartpixel Pro popping up in game capture comparisons or reviews, nor have I come across people talking about it & recommending the software, like I do with many others like Fraps, D3dgear etc.
http://www.videohelp.com/software/sections/desktop-screen-captureGame recording software is a bit of a specialized breed -- if you're playing a game that takes most if not all of your rig's resources, the only way you'll capture your screen in all its glory, is to use additional hardware rather than taking something away from playing that game. Unfortunately that takes a bit of cash, so the alternative is capture software designed to be very fast, very efficient, & sparing of the hardware you use playing your games. Run of the mill capture software probably won't cut it.
That said, I did come across a recommendation or two for Open Broadcaster Software -- https://obsproject.com/ . It's designed for efficient streaming, but does recording as well. It's free, & the installation seems to have little impact [is almost portable] if you want to try it.
If you do go looking for OBS, or any game capture software, you might check out encoders or codecs at the same time, assuming whatever capture app will let you use it. If you can manage it, mpg2 is IMHO an ideal choice because recorded file sizes are smaller, & it's fast while taking a minimum of horsepower. Mjpeg [Motion JPG] is as named a series of individual jpg images. It can be very fast, but file sizes can be large. HUFFYUV still works, & is lossless, though there are more recent alternatives like Lagarith & UT Video. Windows Media & AVC are slow -- their advantage is that files are smaller, & if you're capturing 1080p or greater, you're talking about writing a pretty big stream to disk otherwise... it can be a challenge to do that without dropping frames.
If you wanted to play around you can also try using whatever hardware you have rather than buying a game capture box or card. You might stream the video to another device or a PC/laptop to record, or send a duplicate of your display to something like a DVD Recorder.
