   I mentioned this in the comments on the game yesterday, but only one other person seemed to find the same (or found it a pity).

   It's a fantastic game, but is showing on my screen in a sort of letterbox format, i.e. there are black bars top and bottom of the screen and even the Playrix etc initial screens are in this format. I had a look at one of the Youtube links that WR gave and that showed something similar. However, I understand that not everyone seems to have this same display.

   Has anyone any ideas to make it fill the whole of the screen? Changing to/from Widescreen in the Options makes no difference (if anything, Widescreen is slightly worse) and I've played around with screen resolutions without any success. My graphics card is ATI/AMD Radeon 5400 series, I'm running Win 7 64-bit OS.

   I can happily play the game in this rather strange format, but the graphics are so good that it seems a shame I don't seem to be able to make the best of them.

   Are you running "high DPI", like 150%? If so, try changing the properties of the main executable to ignore the high DPI scaling. I couldn't even till it that I was widescreen until I did that so it can make a difference.

   The setting is the next to the last option total on the compatibility tab of the properties.

   I can't see anything that says to me that I'm running "high DPI" but I'm not particularly tech-savvy. I'm not too fussed - have got quite used to it now. It's as if it's been designed to use a widescreen monitor.

   It's still a wonderful game!

   Hi Little Maggit, To toggle off the high DPI setting you need to go into compatibility. to do this right click on the games executable file, or the games shortcut and select properties. This opens up a small window that looks like the following image:

   

   Click on the compatibility tab to access the toggles. There are several you can change. Try combinations of these to see if one suits you and enables the game to be seen without the letterbox look. also try changing your screen resolution temporarily hwhile you play the game.

   What happened???? I downloaded the game (8 hours) then when I clicked on "set up" nothing happened. Then it said the game wasn't responding. I tried again....same thing.

   Today I tried "set up" again and got a message saying that the give-a-way was over. According to the download it was available for 13 DAYS...I realize this might have been a mistake and it was only 13 HOURS.....but....since I did download the game in time...and set up didn't respond....where did the mistake happen?

   After waiting 8 hours for it to download and not being able to play the game.....I am frustrated and ticked off...seems this site is slowly going down the tubes.

   If this is going to be a regular happening then someone definitely needs to do something

   This game was the largest game download the giveaway team have ever offered. The servers were massively overloaded, with over a thousand community members downloading at any one time, there were also more downloads than usual; whether this was a false reading due to the numbers of community members using download managers. IDK, but we still had a very good response to the game. The final download count was almost 100 000 download, a massive increase on any other download we have ever had; so it's no wander there were problems at times. Most community members appear to have managed to download, install and activate the game with no problems otherwise we would have had many more unhappy community members. I do think the mistake with the promised 14 days live should have been seen as a mistake as the giveaway team have never offered such a time frame before. Maybe they will give this away again soon considering the number of community members posting after the giveaway had ended. I had to moderate nearly 50 posts after the giveaway had finished. That has never happened before. most of those dealt with the 14 day perios and not being able to download in time. Sadly some such as yourself had other problems once you'd managed to get the game downloaded.

   The quality of games has actually improved of late. It's sad to hear you say the site is going down the tubes just because you were unable to install the game. Many more managed to install it. whether it was a fault at the server end (possibly overloaded at the time you tried to install because this is one of the better games given away, so was very popular), or a problem at your end; maybe a conflict, or your provider may have been repairing or updating their servers, IDK.

   There has been well over a thousand commercial arcade games given away as well as suggestions for many offers over the last 8 years. On top of that you can rst assured that you aren't going to download a load of rubbish or malware with your down,oads. adverts are kept to a minimum and theres a decent forum community as well (not as active as it used to be, but there are still some really helpful members that visit regularily. Also, there's still a small dedicated team of moderators and admins that try their best to keep the site current and the owners get games and applications for free. Some ore rubbish, some are so so, or average, but we also get some fantastic deals.
