The installation tells me that the giveaway period is over. But I know it is not. Please tell me I do not have to download the entire file again. My ISP in South Africa only allows me 3 gigabytes a month, and to download a 250 mb file again means I would have used 1/6th of my allotted monthly allowance on this game. Please tell me how to fix this without downloading the file again.

Gary, if you're seeing a warning that the giveaway period is over, I'm guessing that you might not have followed the README steps in the correct order. My chronic rant/complaint with the GAOTD Readme file is that with a cursory glance it always looks the same but the steps may vary. As yet, they aren't itemizing/outlining the steps - 1, 2, 3 but just write a run-on sentence/paragraph.
As far as not having to download again, maybe this will help in the future if you don't already do it - my downloading SOP (not just with GAOTD appls) is to click SAVE (not RUN or OPEN) so I can store the zipped file in a separate folder inside the folder designated for the program itself. That way, so long as the download goes smoothly, I have the original zip copy, allowing me a chance to scan the download to ensure it's virus-free. I double scan using AVG and Avast.
If you ever have to remove a program (using ADD/Remove or Uninstall), you still retain the zip which can be unzipped again and again. If you simply download and open, I'm not sure if the zip is hiding in your documents/temp files or not. You might run a search of the C drive for a LARGE file downloaded today.

If it's any comfort, I believe your math might be slightly off, meaning you have a little bit more of your allotment left.

I have just run the puppy setup - I downloaded in the first 30 minutes and ran the setup 5 hours later - and did not get the expired message. I would hold off deleting your 200MB download until after we get a response from the GGOTD team.

OK, I managed to install it on another computer and it went fine. I then went to the the program files folder and zipped the folder for "I Love Puppies". I copied it to the other computer and it runs fine. Thanks for the help.
